Heather and Gerri were a dream come true for me. I had my doubts when my wife said, "lets have the baby at home". After visiting with Heather and Gerri a few times, I felt confident, assured, and even amped up to have our little boy at home. Such a great and positive experience, that our 3rd; will also be born at home, under the care the san diego county midwives. You'll never see me at the hospital again!

San Diego County Midwives are a wonderful team of midwives. In 2012, my doula referred me to Gerri Ryan when I was 32 weeks pregnant. After my first consultation with Gerri, I knew that she was the midwife that we needed, and I didn’t even bother interviewing anyone else. She had a warmth that immediately set me at ease. I quickly learned that I would be an active participant in all decisions that involved me an my baby. She encouraged me to ask questions, considered my specific life experience and desires, and often reminded me that it was my birth and my journey. Over the course of four years, I had three successful home births with Gerri and her midwife daughter Heather LeMaster. They are a highly skilled, nurturing team and compliment each other well. I feel so fortunate that they were with me and my husband to assist us in bringing our children into the world in the calm, familiar, and peaceful environment of our own home.
