Very well organised and convenient restaurant. They provide generous portions and for fair rates. I enjoyed the menu very much and the staff members were very welcoming and explanatory. I recommend this place.

Ok so it saddens me to give them 2 measly stars. The food when I last dined, was not all that. The prices were definitely not friendly. Worst of all, those unnecessary lobster tanks with dying creatures who were unlucky enough to be caught were lined up. Isn’t this 2020? I think we know enough to know that those animals ( yes, they are part of the animal kingdom) , are starved , extremely stressed and actually experience pain and fear. From a food perspective, that’s not even good eating. Fresh frozen lobster will actually generally taste better, too. Sorry, but just no reason to patronize this joint any more. Sigh.

Old style crab house. Has good food, and drinks. Popular spot. They have lots of photos on the wall and some quotes done in those old-style lettering things. It is a sense memory to the 1960s and 1970s, but in a good way. Food was good.

Unless you look intimidating or look for a million bucks you won't get a decent service here. I got a better service here when my partner and I had a business lunch. I wanted to treat myself to a fish today after touring the city. I ordered grilled yellowish tuna and asked for medium well done. The fish was overly salty and it was prepared medium rare. Grilled zucchini were overdone and the baby squash were practically raw. The sauce was over salted as well. That's not to mentioned that they have not checked on me until I have done with my meal and haven't attended to me the whole time I was sitting there, at least to refill my water. This was not the busy time and only few tables were occupied. And when I mentioned about salty food it was taken with "Oh.... sorry" as it didn't matter and dismissed.

We had the fried red snapper and asked our server to make the sauce extra spicy. The cook did an excellent job and made a very flavorful sauce, not just added extra pepper! It was amazing!

Crowded but still relax. Reasonable priced with very good beef, cold seafood, fresh oyster. King crab was small though. Lot of dessert. A nice place to have brunch in weekend and then stroll around Chicago shopping area

Epitome of what you would expect from a high end seafood restaurant. Smaller serving sizes with higher pricing. Service was second to none. Flavor was full and plentiful. Menu has something for everyone. Would recommend.

Oh my!!! We came to Chicago for a Bears game and had researched the best place to have brunch. We decided on Shaw's Crab House and what a treat it was!! Stepping off the street into the restaurant was like going back in time. The buffet was set up so well with stations in different rooms but each room was never crowded. The food, Oh My Goodness! The food was out of this world. The oysters were fresh and the crab legs were so tasty I am still craving them. I need to give a shout out to our waiters. These men were outstanding! They constantly cleaned away the dirty plates and our water glasses were never out of water. They were very friendly and professional. If you are in Chicago on business or pleasure eating at Shaw's, night or day, is a must!

We have a very late evening reservation in the summer. We had a party of 6 people for dinner. We are a pretty laid back group. It took forever to get waited on once we were seated and the service was very lacking. The delicious food made up for it. However, we would have drank 2-3 more drinks upping our bill even further had we had decent service.

The brunch buffet is AWESOME!! This is the best buffet I've ever had. The food is great and the service is top notch. I had king crab, Lobster Bisque, shrimp, bacon, Lobster Mac and cheese, etc. The price is steep but you should treat yourself
