Company Description

Star Kitchen is located in a modest strip-mall and isn't much to look at, but this Chinese restaurant runs like a well-oiled machine -- one designed with the express purpose of filling everyone in the entire city with fantastic dumplings and other amazing creations that keep coming out of the kitchen.

This is our favorite Chinese restaurant. They have the best green beans! But really we come for the crab. It's fantastic. This time we also had chow fun, eggplant, and pea shoots. Everything was great.

Pretty good. Had a bit of a wait but their system is efficient and they move people reasonably fast. Dumplings weren't too greasy or heavy and were flavorful. Chicken feet were tender and fell apart nicely. Desert was good too. Everything was served fresh and hot.

We miss the dim sum timing but got our fix from other dishes. Roast duck is delicious and we pack the other half home. We will come back to try their dim sum on our next trip.

Star Kitchen has amazing Dim Sum! It's a popular spot though so be prepared to wait (possibly outside in line), especially on Sunday mornings. Tables do move fairly quickly though, and it's definitely worth it!

For a western layperson, this is it for dim sum. I have been here with a Chinese speaking Chinese American friend and that was a 4 star experience. The visit with Chinese friend would have been 5 stars if I didn't have memories of many mind blowing Chinese restaurant experiences with him IN Asia. So, all that said, for this white dude without linguistic, cultural and culinary expertise, the Star Kitchen is probably Denver's closest thing to a 5 star experience. Don't hesitate to eat here and often. Don't let waits put you off. It moves fast enough and totally worth it and today, we had food before plates and set ups!

Dim sum was wonderful. The environment is constantly moving which is a great part of the atmosphere. The place was packed and there was a wait but, it was well worth it.

Best Dim Sum in town. Large selection of items fried, steamed, baked all extremely good. Only problem is you have to be there at 10:30 or wait will be 30 minutes to 1 hour. It's that good.

We would have given 5 stars, except our waitress didn't bring our soup first, so we could enjoy it before the main dishes were brought out. And she forgot to bring our beef dish to the table with the rest, and it was delayed a few minutes. Other than that, the food was DELICIOUS! The most tender meats I've ever eaten at any restaurant. The flavors were beyond our expectations, and the portions were big. We ordered 5 different dishes to share amongst 6 people, and we had leftovers at the end of our meal. Their selection of live seafood is good, lots of lobsters, crabs, and fish. Quite entertaining for the children dining there with their parents. Overall the meal was excellent, but the wait staff fell just a little short of perfect. I would highly recommend this restaurant based upon the food quality and flavor alone.

Easily Denver's best dim sum location. If you go on the weekends for lunch you can definitely expect a wait, but it's well worth it. That being said, I highly recommend coming here for dinner as well. This place makes many authentic Chinese dishes that are very difficult to find elsewhere in the Denver area. Branch out a bit and be adventurous, especially with their amazing seafood options!

I love their dim sum! One of the best in town. On the weekends- the line to get in goes around the block! And they are almost all Asians eating there- not tourists. Staff are very friendly and it's great to become a regular there! Feel very welcome.
