For some reason, I cannot review under anything but my husband's name, but who cares: the point is about reviewing this salon and giving it the 5 stars it DESERVES. Steve not only pulled out 20+ years of henna from my hair, but gave me the cut and sassy red color of my dreams, all without causing damage. What more can I say than that?! Wait, it turns out I can say plenty! Steve is unbelievably talented and deserves his reputation and his client base. He's worth every penny, although in reality, I actually think his rates are quite an excellent value and he could easily get away with charging much, much more. His team is incredible: from Rose and her mom to everyone else... they take such great care of me and I always have a wonderful experience there... so much so I almost wish I could start from scratch again! No, I'm too vain about my new hair to actually wish that, but I'm hoping you get the point. I recommend Steve Hightower and his wonderful full-service team more than anyone I've ever gone to.
I visited this salon on June 2, 2018. I originally went in with a clear vision of what I wanted. I showed the stylist what I wanted and it seemed there was a clear understanding of what I wanted. I was looking for blonde balayage. The whole time I was waiting in the chair the stylist kept saying the color was taking great. Once I was done I was taken to another stylist to cut my hair and blow dry so I could see the final results. The original stylist that had done the balayage couldn’t stay to see the end result due to weekend plans. Once my hair was completely blow dried I could finally see the end result. I had barely noticeable almost copper toned highlights though out. It honestly didn’t even look like balayage. I didn’t say anything on spot because I had spent 5 hours in a chair and I was exhausted, plus the stylist responsible had rushed out as soon as I got put in the chair for a haircut. I honestly didn’t want to take it out on the guy cutting my hair. In the end I paid around $230 for something I should have spoken up for when I was there. If a stylist can’t achieve the desired look of a client they should at least save them the money and refer them elsewhere.
They are very opinionated about hair. They are the best I have tried so far in Alabama and Georgia. The owner Steve has an eye for artistry, and tries to give you a more personalized haircut. The west coast has the best haircuts but it always nice to find a place that makes an effort to make a haircut different in a sea where everything looks the same.
This place is amazing. I went in a couple of days ago and had my brows waxed and loved how they did them! I was so happy with the service I went back today for a facial. Everyone there is so nice and goes out of their way to give you the best customer service. I have an appointment in a couple of weeks to get my hair done there with the owner and I'm so excited to go back there! If you're going there for esthetic services Julie and Tamara are the best!!!
This was a perfect day for a spa day with my girlfriend. From the time we stepped in the salon to the moment we left we were treated extremely well. We both had treatments from Julie (facial) Dave (massage) Milissa (hair) and Rose (makeup). I am impressed with everyone here. Thank you to all who made this such a memorable and enjoyable experience. We would love to do this again sometime.
I love this salon!! From the moment you walk in, you are treated like royalty! The prices are extremely reasonable especially for the quality of service you receive. They also have the best products to purchase to maintain your hair cut and color!
Put my heavily damaged over-processed blonde hair in the capable hands of Steve and his assistant Rose and the results were magic. For the first time I have hope for my baby fine hair. So glad to have discovered this wonderful salon!
I have fine hair and have heard aLOT of advice over the years about how to manage and style my difficult do. FINALLY I met Steve. He’s a true expert in the care and management of fine hair and I was stunned at the difference his recommendations made! It’s great to feel great about my hair again, especially as I face the whole aging thing and the fun that comes with that. My hair is healthier and prettier than it has ever been and I am grateful!!!!

Extremely nice salon! Fabulous cuts, color, massage, extension work, they literally do it all. Friendly scheduling always, and they never EVER disappoint. So fortunate to have found this salon!
