I didn’t have much choice in where my influenza test was sent. After quite the runaround it’s decidedly so that my test will cost me $670! Sunrise Medical Labs on Long Island is considered an in-network provider to my United health insurance. I have had tests done in the past with them and none were astronomical. I just called the customer service line and found out that the test that was done is not done in-house and subbed out to another lab, hence the huge cost. I said so when you realize you cannot perform the test, do you reach back out to the doctor so they can send to another lab. Oh no not at all. Huh? Is this real life? Am I really going to have to pay this much for a flu test? It would have been cheaper to have the flu.

I went to the sunrise lab in Brooklyn-location and the girl was so unprofessional, eating all over the front desk and very rude! I tried to ask her a simple question and she just made me feel uncomfortable , like if she didn’t have the time of the day to help me. You guys really need to train the people better!!!!

*hauppauge location* The front desk receptionist is very friendly & Nadine is an excellent phlebotomist! Wonderful first time experience!

Although my insurance states I am not responsible for any lab fees or copayment, Sunrise Labs is sending me bills for my sons strep tests. They are completely and utterly ridiculous.
