The Nurses make the whole experience. My kids get sick often and we get in same day and they even do late appointments. I don't know too many offices that do that. Dr Robertson is a long wait due to his patient load, but when he is booked we always love seeing Dr York. I have sent many of my friends and clients here and I have had nothing but good responses from all of them as well.
Pathetic. Appt was at 4pm and wasn't seen until 545pm. Staff up front kept saying "you are next" but that only meant to go into a room and wait another 45 minutes. When pressed on why the delays they said "take it up with the doctor" and really didn't want to converse at all. The office manager kept saying sorry and blamed it on under-staffing of doctors. Here's an idea, be honest. Tell people you can have the appt but it may take two hours so that I can decide to gut it out or go elsewhere like urgent care or something. Since my wife mostly handles this I asked around the waiting room to see if this was an anomaly or the the norm. I got a resounding "It's the norm. they are always late." It's up to my wife if she wants to deal with this poorly run business and the ridiculously cold and uncaring front desk staff because I will never set foot in there again. What a joke.
For the summerlin location. I'd give less than one star, but its not an option. I've taken my son here 3 times, and I have spent a cummulative 9 hours of waiting in those 3 visits. I actually left before we were seen in the first visit, as wait time was approaching 3 and a half hours. They have a sign in the waiting room that says wait times may be long because they believe in quality care. As a 10-year veteran of the healthcare industry, and a person with a life, being courteous of your patient's time is part of quality care. If your patients are consistently waiting on excess of 30 mins, you suck at time management. Schedule less patients, or hire more staff. Oh, I write this as my current wait time for this visit just passed 2 hours. And the wait is not commensurate with the face time with the provider or quality of care.
Our appointment was October 12, 2015. We waited more then 30 minutes for a flu shots!!! Our appointment was at 4:30pm and we got here at 4:10pm. The staff is very ghetto and unprofessional. While my kids and I were waiting in the room, we heard the staff talking as if we already weren't waiting long enough.The wait is always long and ridiculous. It's now 5:11pm and we're in a room. My kids never received a flu shot. I will never come back to this ghetto pediatric clinic ever again. This place needs to shut down and it doesn't deserve to be in Summerlin.
Dr. York is amazing. He is very kind and great with my little one. The staff is usually very helpful and friendly. Only thing I would recommend is to not have the male nurse do vaccines on your babies. Every time this nurse does them on my baby he is in extreme pain afterwards, unable to walk and has bruises. The female nurses have NEVER done that.
Love the doctors at this place and the staff have always been super helpful and friendly. Can get busy here as a result, so appointments are almost always a must. Walk ins are allowed though.
Good doctor's but the wait time is absolutely horrible. Its crazy to me that doctor will charge a fee if late or even cancel appointment but they have no problem making patients wait 2 hours after there appointment time!!!!!!
We have seen every single pediatrician at Sunshine Valley and they are all great. We recently have only been seeing Dr. York for both of my kids and they absolutely love him. He takes his time for their needs and really is an exceptional physician. I can't say enough appreciation I have for this clinic and Dr. Robertson and Dr. York. I will never go anywhere else!
Last time we where there for a physical for our children..they ask if we wanted an ECG. I told them they have never had an ECG before was it an new procedure..rhey said no they have always done them with physicals..so I signed off on it. Long story short after waiting for over an hour in the tiny room to be seen. We never got an ECG. I called the next day to ask someone if our insurance was charged for this because I signed off on it. No one returned my call ever. And now my 3 year old has been complaining of chest pains saying her heart hurts. I need to take her in have no idea what to think.
This office should be ashamed of how long they make their patients wait.. 1.5 hr wait with an appointment. minimum every time I have been there . .Figured I would try one more time . I asked for a first appointment of the day..Explained my past experiences there.. Of course they didnt let me down , over 30 mins waiting and the Dr. still did not show up, he wasnt even in the building ....I took my kids and left this time....Never again. They are always way overbooked...
Love the staff!Samantha is the bomb dot com! Great personalities! Sarah always has a nice smile! Doctors are super awesome and fast with the visit.
The wait times at this doctors office are ridiculous. For our last appointment we waited over 2 hours to see the doctor. Our most recent appointment? It’s past the two hour mark and still no doctor. Always excuses instead of solutions. They care more about packing people in to make as much money as possible rather than respecting their patients and scheduling according to the availability of their doctors. At this office you are a number not a patient. Patient care extends beyond the interaction with the doctor. It includes the initial booking all the way through the check out process. This doctors office has forgotten that and only cares about their bottom line. If you decide to use this office take the day off, pack a lunch and bring a book or two, you’re gonna need it.
