Fantastic place, food & service! Highly recommended
We ate lunch at the Cafe today. The lamp chops arrived overdone and tough. Sent back and when the next batch came out they were the same. The staff divulged the fact that all of the meat served is cooked by an outside vendor and then delivered to the Cafe. None of it is cooked fresh or to order. The meat is nuked at the Cafe, thus drying it out and making it terrible. A half hour after we ate both of us had upset stomachs, nausea and diarrhea. Any leftovers taken home were tossed. Never ever again will we entertain the thought of eating at this Cafe.
Great food, only wish portions fit the price...Nonetheless..its authentic syrian food
This view goes for the Chicken Shawarma. The employees are nice and they offer good service but this was the least authentic Shawarma I’ve ever had in my life. It didn’t taste at all like Shawarma.
They have a vegan falafel sandwich which was amazing! I also got a delicious iced hibiscus tea. The staff was friendly, and I loved the atmosphere of the restaurant. The chairs were comfortable, and there were a variety of tables and chairs to choose from. This is a family friendly place that goes up three floors. You seat yourself, and they have a nice first floor bathroom. They also sell ethnic items like blankets, tablecloths, ties, etc from Syria. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone in the area. The parking is on the street.
Had a great lunch with my wife. The restaurant has 3 floors and is well decorated, blending Syrian ambiance with the old Ellicott City charm. My beef kabab was tasty and her chicken sandwich was fantasitc with a great crispy breading . Good eats, will come again!
The food was so good! The people who work there are extremely polite. I would definitely recommend this place and will be back the next time I’m in town.
Outstanding food with authentic Syrian culture. Can't wait to go back. See you soon! Love it!
We ate here over the weekend after hiking the Trolly #9 trail from Catonsville and wanted to grab a quick bite. We were able to get a seat outside right on Main Street! I was nervous about the food selection because we've never tried authentic Syrian food, but we were pleasantly surprised! The Chicken Shwarma was amazing! Great flavor! And my son loved his Fruit & Honey Crepe! We were also fortunate to meet the owner who came and shared a few minutes of great conversation. Super nice guy! I would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Ellicott City!
Staff was very nice and friendly. Service was very quick. The coffee was not too great. Not a fan. Tried their falafel which was decent but not very flavorful. They have some items available for sale which look really adorable. The cafe is a nice cute little cafe. Some outdoor seating available to enjoy the main street view.
I live local and ate here 3-5 times a month. Food is good. Tried to place an order tonight and was informed we only do orders online now. Im old, I dont want to place an order online. They said they would make an exception this time since it slow...No thanks. Ill just get used to calling one the other fine restaurants on Main st. that seem happy to get my phone call and taking my $20.
