Lunch buffet! Everything with meat was chicken. Great flavor but not many vegetarian options. And next door had construction and they beat on the wall the entire time.
Food was delicious, quite satisfied with the quality. Loved the Navratan Korma. Best food I have eaten so far in the US.
This is not your run of the mill strip mall Indian restaurant. It's won the best in Nashville for four years in a row and I agree wholeheartedly. Try the Lamb Nargisi.

A good place for Indian food. Although nothing to write home about, the food here is okay tasting. The buffet lunch is a strictly budget friendly affair. Not a lot of variety. The atmosphere is a bit depressing as the glasses are tinted and decor is not fresh. As there aren't a lot of Indian restos around, one can give this place a try.
Food can take a little while to come out but it is always worth the wait. By far the best Indian food in Nashville (and second only to Indian food from the UK in my opinion). Portions are generous and leftovers are delicious!
Taj is great. I definitely felt like I was in that Seinfeld episode about the Chinese restaurant because they have this big open section in the middle where you stand while you wait for your table. The food was really good, however, the goat dish I ordered had a TON of bone. I don't know if that is common, but just something I noticed. Overall, the food was delicious, spicy, and tasty. I would eat there again for sure.
I regularly stop by purchasing some food in this place. I liked the prompt customer service and well made dishes. Never disappointing.
Taj is located on Plaza Mariachi mall. The restaurant is small but you will have the best Indian food in Nashville area. All dishes have so much flavor and you can order in different levels of spice. Good service and very reasonable prices. They have a menu with a lot of options and also lot of vegetarian dishes to choose.
