This is a must for any resident of Los Angeles! Order at the counter and hang out in the spacious back while enjoying some German beers and eating the delicious hot dogs and sausages. There's always a large, lively crowd, so expect a line of you're coming at a peak time. But the food comes out pretty fast and it's a cool enough hangout spot that the wait is worth it.
Taste different from what I remember few years ago but it still good. Feels like the sides they put on the dog is became less and the bread tasted different. But overall beer is good and sausage is not bad too.
Great Service. Was asked while in line if an adult beverage was needed while waiting 👍. Good selection of 🍻. Good selection of encased meats and non-meats as well. Everyone in our party liked what they ordered. Fries were great too. What stands out to me is the restaurant design. The space itself is awkward. With sharp corners and long walkways, but they made it work. Great place for a quick bite or to hang out.
One of my fav places for delicious German food. It's so tasty. The service here is friendly. It has an awesome feel to it. Food is similar to a cafe in Portland I liked.
We love hanging out. Last night we went to this magnificent restaurant which friends recommended to us. We passed a delightful evening there with great cooking and a nice stuff and a professional cuisine. We added this restaurant in our list and we will no doubt return very soon. We highly recommend.
Every time I go here I enjoy myself. I do try to go when I can avoid the long lines. I have gone when they are just playing music and it is more a community conversation vibe and a Friday when there is a DJ and a club vibe. Each time I have enjoyed the food and the vibe.
Bratwurst, Hungarian heat, duck and bacon with jalapeño peppers. All topped with caramelized onions and spicy peppers. This place does sausages right! The snap when you take each bite is so satisfying. Bratwursts use to be my favorite go-to sausage at other places but Hungarian heat is what I will be craving when I leave LA. The exotic duck and bacon sausage was subtle in flavor, as the bacon did not overwhelm the duck. Spicy brown mustard paired beautifully with all sausages.
The best Sausage you can ever have in SoCal! Order their rabbit & rattle snake with all the sides as well as their amazing Belgium fries! If you haven’t had Belgium fries, it is basically large cut potatoes, soft inside and crispy outside... also make sure to try it with their pesto mayo sauce... I have many friends who have had this combination and loved it! Also I always have their beer or Mister Cucumber soda which is also tasty!
I really enjoyed this place. I spent 6 years in Germany - they captured all the essential elements of a good German pub. Good selection of beer. Even the fries were authentic.
If a 6 star review was available, it still wouldn't accurately describe this amazing place. Food was delicious. Beers were spot on. Customer service was awesome. Place was clean amd inviting. Just go already and be hungry!
