Great place for a group to try new food. Plus they have tej (Ethiopian honey wine). Injera is very good and plentiful. Would recommend the samosa appetizer and the beef tibs, very tasty. Owner was very hospitable and friendly. Only a couple blocks from the metro station, would return next time I'm in the area.

I order red snapper with rice, and a separate order of fried goat meat to go . They literally gave me 4 pieces of bones, I should have checked the food before leaving. The red snapper was not season well, if I wanted to eat flavorless food I would have went to a Chinese restaurant and probably spend less. The only reason I’m giving 2 stars is because the waitress who handed me my food was lovely and nice.

I used to look forward to coming here but recent complaints I’ve heard is serving sizes being down to half with no change in prices. A personal experience is having a tiny piece of meat (1/8 of usual amount) in a $22.00 meal. Hence you’re eating a $9.00 worth of food for $20.00. Long waits. But otherwise food tastes good.

Very authentic Ghanian food. Live DJ at night time provides a great vibe. I tried the Egusi (ground melon seeds with spinach), and enjoyed it.

If you want to be hustled come here. The vibes here are deceiving. Our waitress immediately started to up sell us on the large price for the medium fish, stating they only had large left. After we had ordered our apps and drinks, you would’ve thought she would’ve mentioned before we ordered anything that there was only one fish left for the evening (we sat for dinner at 4pm). The food was severely over priced for the quantity and quality of the dishes. We tried our best to support this black business as fellow Africans, by it was undeniable that our waitress had deliberately over charged us on several items we ordered. When we asked her about the discrepancies (being charged for goat when we ate beef, being charged double for a side that was clearly listed for $6) she aggressively doubled down by stating all items on the menu -including vegetables and rice were subject to market price increase. None of this is written on the menu and quite frankly I was insulted at the blatant hustle taking place. She further insulted us by throwing several loose dollars at us from her tip jar which only further confused the situation. We politely gave her back her tip jar money, paid and left. Don’t hustle people you think are from outa town and don’t know any thing about west African food and what it actually costs to make it. What a disappointment. This is why our communities are not economically where they should be every one trying to get over on each other.

Their jollof rice pretty good. I’m Ghanaian btw, and it’s kind of nasty how they give you bare straws with their hand and there is nothing on the straw. That is very unsanitary and disgusting. And, the napkin they gave me for my utensils was dirty but it’s whatever.

Nice laid back atmosphere. The host/owner is very genuine and authentic. Proud Ghanaian as most are😊 The food was great as well. So many dishes that I had missed from Ghana was on the menu. Definitely returning again!!
