The reason for this is that engines output a high rotational speed which cannot be used for low speeds or starting.

Took my Husbands truck in for some Work. The staff was professional, Knowledgeable and friendly. Kevin called me and walked us through what needed to be done step by step. Service was quick and The price was very fair. We will be bringing our business back here.
My experience at AoM was really good. Very thorough and professional - even though my car is pretty old. The vehicle checkup was very well documented and should give me a great record for the future. Two thumbs-up!
I have been put through hell when I comes to mechanics working on my vehicles, but not at Art of Maintenance. They got my vehicle in and tested the issues quickly, did the work right and made sure I knew what was going on every step of the way. Every question I had they answered and made me feel like my car was in good hands. Now having my car back all of the issues have been fixed, and I have peace of mind. Car maintenance is not cheap but at least when you go to Art of Maintenance they make sure you get the best customer service with efficient and accurate work.
I don't like to give negative reviews without giving businesses a chance to redeem themselves, but this auto shop ran out of chances. It looks like I am in the minority with a negative review, but my experience has been largely negative. I have had several services performed on two different vehicles with issues every time. They installed a new radiator hose that was damaged. Coolant drained out on the road and car went into limp mode to prevent catastrophic failure. They put the wrong gear oil in my manual transmission. I could tell there was a problem and sourced the correct oil. They acted like they were doing me a favor by not charging me labor to change it out. I still paid for both products and risked damage to the gear box. They incorrectly diagnosed a bad starter and replaced it. Then it wouldn't start once I got in. Turns out the cable was obviously damaged. I paid for a new starter I didn't need and the labor. There was grease all over the volume knob of the stereo where mechanic was playing with the volume. Communication was poor regarding warranty status on starter job. I told these guys I was unhappy with what was going on and they were apologetic, but it comes a point where sorry doesn't cut it. I won't be coming back here.
I brought my 2003 trailblazer in. They got me in right away. Which was awesome because it's my work truck. They were able to finish up the repair that same day. I really appreciate the professionalism and quality of work.
