Where to even start? We transferred to ABC mid pregnancy after the obstetrician practice we were using was flippant when I asked about their c-section rates- and didn't seem to understand my desire for an unmediated birth. My care at ABC was so comprehensive, caring and personal. I came to know most of the staff so well that I truly miss not seeing them each week! I also used the amazing pregnancy focused chiropractic, massage, and acupuncture through practitioners in and near the birth center, which was convenient and super helpful! Our labor and delivery was wonderful. The birthing rooms are homey and warm. I felt it was the perfect environment, with the perfect people helping me calmly bring our baby into the world. I don't think we would've achieved the sort of delivery we dreamed of without Atlanta Birth Canter. Even postpartum I am still strongly supported by their care. I am so thankful!

Wonderful experience. Every aspect of birthing is taken care of. Every resource is available to you, all you have to do is ask. We met every midwife, and they are all fantastic. Anjli and Shoshanna were our team the day of our childs birth and I cannot say enough about those two. Our experience was so special and they really had to pull out all the tricks to make it happen! These are amazing women. ABC is a place for a relaxed and low stress prenatal and birthing experience. I would recommend this place to anyone who is looking for an alternative to a baby factory/hospital birth. Post partum care and resources are fantastic! They have great connections to the best of the best practitioners in a wide variety of fields. Regarding the negative reviews I have seen: Birth Centers are regulated by the state, regarding which patients they can and can't take on, this is the first thing you are told when you arrive... Second, if you are a worry-wart, high strung, don't want to do any work, and don't want to take the initiative to educate yourself at least partially...this is not the place for you. You need to be personally involved in the process....My wife and I love you all. You are doing such an amazing job.

I saw the Midwives at Atlanta Birth Center for my entire last pregnancy. The midwives were great and the birthing center is lovely. I got the birth I have always wanted. They are not pushy at all and really listen to your concerns and make you feel special. I drove 2 hours one way and it was totally worth it to get the care and birth experience that I got from them. Highly recommend them!!!!

Wasted my time and money. I was honest from the beginning about having type one diabetes. I was planning my pregnancy so I called 6 months ago asking if they would take me. Got the run around saying it's up to the midwife. After I get the positive I call again and I'm told to fill out an intake form. I send an email to confirm I can be a client and my medical background. They send a generic email excited to have me and welcome me to a tour. At the tour they say they won't take diabetes regardless of how well managed I am. Why couldn't you be honest 6 months ago? That's what hurts the most. You didn't care about my time. What was the point if you knew you would reject Me?

I feel compelled to share a rave reviews of the Atlanta Birth Center, because I didn't find too many when we were trying to decide about where to have our baby. Y'all. That place is absolutely magical. Experienced birth there 3 weeks ago with my daughter and I cannot convey the amount of love, respect, warmth, and empowerment that I felt during such a vulnerable and intense time. Anjili (the woman who spearheaded the effort to bring a birth center to ATL) is brilliant, compassionate, and vissionary. The practice blends evidence-based approaches with a respect for women's expertise on their own subjective experience. The entire birth team (especially my midwives Shannon and Nicole!) was attuned to me as an individual and made me feel at peace through every stage of the process. I felt weirdly at ease from the time I checked in (while 8 cm dilated!) because of the woman-centered, caring approach they took every step of the way. The post-birth home visit was thoughtful and thorough and my nurse got me in to see a lactation consultant in my neighborhood one hour after I asked for help. And the cost was so reasonable/they worked with me on a payment plan AND are now in-network for my insurance. Superficially, the rooms are home-like and cozy and it felt amazing to have a water birth and then get cozy in a real bed with real linens before heading home a few hours later. This place is amazing. Best birth experience I could have ever hoped for and my recovery has been night and day from my first birth. If you're considering ABC - go for it!

I absolutely loved my experience with the Atlanta Birth Center. They have created a beautiful, nurturing environment for the whole family throughout the entire pregnancy/birth/postpartum experience. I brought my two sons to all of my prenatal appointments and I always felt that they were entirely welcome and that I was supported wholely as a mother, not only in the pregnancy of this third child. Everyone in the center was very encouraging, friendly and WONDERFUL to work with. The facility is lovely and the rooms are so well equipped and designed to make the labor as pleasant as possible. The midwives are loving and kind and so respectful. I always felt heard and respected regarding my care and felt very empowered in my delivery. We had a magnificent birth here and I would recommend it wholeheartedly. Thank you, ABC, for all that you have done to create this wonderful facility.

Had an absolutely amazing experience here. Would recommend them highly to anyone looking for an alternative to a hospital birth. This was our first child. We started off at an OB and started looking into alternatives when it became obvious that he was not going to be on board with our birth plan. From the moment we switched, we got the individualized care we were looking for and had the most amazing natural birth at the center. The midwife was hands off when she needed to be but jumped in at the first sign of an issue and expertly navigated our needs. She sang to him during his newborn exam, helped us get him latched and rocked him when all else failed. I will never forget how kind she was to us. We are so incredibly glad the birth center is there and hope they continue to expand so that more woman can have the type of empowering birth we had.

The Atlanta Birth Center has my heart forever. My absolute best birth of all 5, hands down! Every woman should have the opportunity to birth this way. Anjli was amazing during our birth and believed in me even when I was doubting myself. Rooms are amazing! Oil diffuser, dim lighting, comfortable bed, easy, spacious showers to stand in, birthing balls, birthing tub, beautiful decor, chair to sit in, birthing stool. Very relaxed and homey. Sandi was great with the at-home follow up nurse visit, which was so nice to have! Dr. Samantha Brooks was also wonderful beyond expectation! The staff went out of their way and helped me work out situations with transferring records and dealing with our pediatrician’s office. I can’t give enough praises. Go Atlanta Birth Center all the way! It’s changing the way we birth.
