It was amazing. My first child was delivered by a midwife in a hospital. My second child was delivered here, and the comparison is night and day. The atmosphere was calm and relaxing, and while the midwife at the hospital was great, at the birthing center, there is no incubator room. My second child was placed directly on my wife's chest after birth and that is where he stayed for the entire night as we slept together peacefully until the next morning when it was time to go home. Other than the cab ride back home, my child never left my wife's arms. This is in stark contrast to the hospital, where newborns are by default, separated from mom. I wish we had known about Brooklyn Birthing Center earlier.
Great hospital with excellent care
Gave birth to both my babies here and truly loved the experience. No fuss, no stress, just a calm and serene environment without distractions. My husband and I will forever be grateful for the kindness and support that everyone at the birthing center gave us.
If you are looking for a private place to give birth, this is the place to go. The staff there are very friendly, and they treat us like family.
The attention and care you get at the BBC was amazing. Due to high blood pressure I had to give birth at their local hospital but, all of the midwives where great. I had my son in September of 2014 and am currently planning on going back to the birthing center for my future child. which I have planned for 2018.
My midwife and nurses were amazing! I was home 6 hours after I have birth! Very private feel definitely a good option if you want to do a give birth anywhere but a hospital!
I gave birth to my son here in August and it was a truly wonderful experience. The midwives are caring, knowledgeable, and skilled. I feel so fortunate that I was able to give birth in such a warm, loving, and comfortable setting.
My daughter was brought into the world at this location. Very scary, not knowing what to expect but what a fantastic experience in the end! The midwives were very attentive, my wife felt comfortable and very confident things were going to go smoothly, which they did! If you're seeking an alternative, not to keen on a hospital, this birthing center is very worth looking into.
They never responded in time. The portal needs fixing. After they got my records i had towait for director to reveiw. No one call or email me since then. I dont recommend this place at all. I did everything in my powrr to try make sure all my papers was recieved. Names lily...sheena....Igagliot....these are people. Now i. Had my baby..thank the most high it still was my birth plan natural.
Enthusiastic, caring, and professional group. I gave birth to our son there and they were so patient and kind to me. I hired a doula but I don't think you need one because you get so much personal attention. Two midwifes were helping me and we could rest after the whole thing. I could not say more good things about this place. I am most grateful to these women.
