Bacchanal is a wine laboratory where food music and culture collide with Holy Vino to create the most unique evenings you will ever experience in New Orleans Ninth Ward. We open at 11 am and we usually close around midnight, seven days a week. We feature live music in the courtyard every day, weather permitting.

Great wine, good food. The cocktail bar is really noisy and could benefit from some sounds deadening materials. The outdoor area is the right mix of cool and casual. Overall a really cool spot that could be made a little better with a few small design fixes.
Overall my favorite experience while in New Orleans. Oh my gosh, their food..... Amazing!! The coziest backyard I've ever been to. Great music, my boyfriend and I met the sweetest couple while there. Absolutely make this a part of your must do list when you visit the big easy!!
Unique place where you buy wine & cheeses, and they come out on big trays to pair up. Or menu items which are DELICIOUS! Outside garden area and live music on the night we came. Super nice staff. Wonderful ambiance. Romantic & great for friends gatherings.
Cool place, a little far from the main streets, nice food and great wine. The only thing is that it's more of a shop you walk through, purchase whatever you want and than go out to the patio. There are no waiters and you need to find a place to sit, if none are available, you can ask to share a table with the people sitting. It's less to my liking but if you're down with that than you're good.
Great place for a date night or just a night out with friends. They have a store upfront that you go and buy your bottle of wine and go to the back yard where there is a stage and live music almost every night. Order food from a window- small plates and app , well thought and so delicious. One of the best places in NOLA.
What a magical place this is! I must admit, when our Uber pulled up to the location I was nervous we were in the wrong place since it's a bit off the beaten path. However as soon as we stepped into the back yard we found a lovely outdoor seating area with a fantastic jazz band playing. We selected cheese, meat, and wine in the front store area which was later brought out to us with bread and pate. We got some other appetizers which were also delicious. It was a fantastic experience and worth leaving the French Quarter for.
Very cool place, love that you pick your own wine bottle. Food was very good. When you first go in, you choose your wine, and can also choose cheese from the fridge if you like. You pay at the register then go outside/upstairs to find a seat. Once you have a seat, you can order food from the bar and they’ll bring it out to your table. They have live jazz music outside and great backyard atmosphere.
This place has the perfect elements of being Instagram cool. First of all, affordable wines by the bottles. The small dish out if the kitchen are great. Plus live music? Please, just take all my money. Just such a great vibe all the time.
Been coming to this charming little buy your bottle of wine chill in the backyard Nola gem since long before it became the worst kept secret in the city. Loved it then, still love it today, despite it's success and tourist draw this place is still as unique as the neighborhood itself. The food is worthy somewhere far less casual and the cocktail bar upstairs serves up a creative and we'll balanced drink list. Amazing place for a date or relaxing with friends this place and was always meant to be chill. Vino et Chill.
Need to get here by 6:00 on weekends to get a table outside. Having said that, it is very fluid… Pull up chairs and share tables.... maybe offer to buy a round of drinks. Though, chairs are gone by 8:00. ... testimony to popularity. Super friendly staff. Can buy a bottle of wine as soon as you walk in… There’s buckets in the back with ice. The wine I bought was not chilled... they looked all over for a cold bottle for me… order food outside at the walk up window, get a number and head to your table… Gazpacho and braised shoulder are insanely good
