Review & Rating
We were not impressed with the food. It’s very expensive and was pretty mediocre. The burrata did not come with anything to eat it with, pork was fairly bland, charcuterie was also not much to write home about. Staff is friendly and great drink menu so I suggest to do drinks only. Overall was very expensive meal to leave unsatisfied and hungry.
Great wine. Friendly serve. Interesting dishes. A lot to like about this spot!
Perfect cozy size, great service, great wine. Small plates are phenomenal, and live up to their price. Edit: I feel like it's not the same since reopening. Service has been poor, and the food and drinks are good but can't make up for lack of service at this price point. There are a dozen places in Davis which are better.
Lovely date spot. 1.5 plates per person is a good rule.
Everything I ate and drank was absolutely amazing! Attention to detail is evident across the board. The cocktails were my favorite, make sure to mix it up and get a few different drinks. There were so many different unique flavors hiding in each drink. The staff was great, they were friendly and knowledgeable. My visit was more of an experience than just a night out to eat.
One of my fave Boston area restaurants. I love that they have orange wine.
Best meal I've had since moving to the area. Probably in the top 3 meals of my life. Food is STELLAR. Ambiance is casual intimate. I can't wait to go back!
The wine here is delightful and the pour size was very fair. Some negative reviews on the wine portions turned me off, but I had no such issue on my visit. Reservations are necessary for prime time hours, but my group snagged a 4-person table on Saturday after 6pm without one. The bar seating is always an option for those without reservations. The food is small plates style and very decadent. Try the raw wagyu beef and the cheese board! Price only gets high if you come really hungry; otherwise, its reasonable.
Hidden just outside of Davis Square is this wonderful wine bar. Its knowledgeable bar staff will help you navigate their comprehensive wine list. Meanwhile their little kitchen will fill you with tasty dishes. While we were only here for drinks we really enjoyed the sparkling wine the bartender recommended and the plate of cheeses. For the time there we felt transported, only to discover that we were still in Davis when we emerged.
Amazingly friendly and helpful staff. Excellent food and drinks. Servers help you find the best combinations of food, and wine based on your preferences. When I go in, I ask what the server would recommend, based on often vaguely expressed preferences. They do a great job. And they don't just suggest the most expensive thing on the menu - they spend the time to figure out what will make you most satisfied. I love this place. Not cheap, but you definitely get what you pay for. Plus, frequently, the kitchen/chefs will send out free complimentary dishes that they think wil enhance your experience, gratis. Simply the best restaurant in the area, and that's still considering the high level of competition and excellent places to dine out to in Davis Square. I would give them 10 Stars if it was possible...
