Cazenovia Animal Hospital is a well-established, full-service, small animal veterinary hospital providing comprehensive medical, surgical and dental care. When the hospital first opened its doors in 1958, Dr. Fred Holmes was returning to his hometown where he grew up farming. Dairies and horse farms accounted for the largest portion of the practice’s business back then with pets a distant third. Dr. Fritz Koennecke, another local “farm boy” joined Dr. Holmes in the early sixties and the two grew the practice by providing quality veterinary care to farm animals and pets.

We were visiting friends outside Caz in July of 2017. Our lab became very ill during the trip from Virginia on a Thursday. By Friday morning her condition had worsened and the hospital gave us an appointment that Friday...the staff was easy to deal with and considerate both on the phone and upon our arrival. Our dog received a thorough examination by Dr. Donnelly (who we found very professional and knowledgeable). She and her assistant were "very hands on".. Due to Dr. Donnelly's accurate diagnosis and correct medication administered, our dog was back to normal by Sunday. Our experience with varied animal needs is extensive and, we utilize both large and small vets at home. We would not hesitate to recommend and, or leave our animals in Dr. Donnelly's care at this clinic. Charlie and Maggie

Love the female doctors and staff. The male just wants money, money, money. Stay away from him. The females really want to help. The vet tech gave my cat a warm cat disk to lay on because his temperature was so low. He loved it. They are wonderful women.
