Ali was absolute Godsend - she is awesome! Cole loved his sessions and thrived with her. He loved his "miss Ali". She went above and beyond, that made all the difference.
Our therapist, Colleen, was wonderful. She did an excellent job with Toby and was very professional in her sessions. He always looked forward to having her come and made great strides in his speech.
Sarah as well as the entire team at Chicago speech therapy are the best. I highly recommend sending your child here if she or he is behind in speech or has developmental delays. Our son started there at 3 years and 4 months with speech and social delays. After about 8 months of hard work he is now speaking, singing, asking tons of questions, and socializing. I am positive that these gains he made were a result of the academy! Thank you!
CST lives up to their stellar reputation!! Our three year old son made great strides in his speech development over the six months of therapy he received. However, the lasting memory of CST will be the focused, sensitive and successful work of our therapist Emily Liston, our son adored her and looked forward to her visits every week, we will miss her.
Our daughter B worked with Sam of Chicago Speech Therapy, who she adored. Sam was not only exceptional working with our daughter, but always provided us with timely and thorough emails with updates on her progress and tips for exercises we could do with her outside of her weekly sessions. The home exercises and weekly sessions made a DRAMATIC difference for B and within 6 months not only did her survey score rise significantly buy her improved clarity while speaking was astonishing. She has now graduated from the program, feels more confident with her ability to more clearly express what she wants and those around her are now better to understand her words and help her with her requests. But it does not end there. In addition to how good Sam was, the administrative office was equally wonderful. We ran into insurance issues for coverage and Chicago Speech Therapy was responsive, provided us with all needed paperwork and followed up to insure everything was moving forward. We could not have asked for more. We had an absolutely wonderful experience working with Sam and Chicago Speech Therapy and would definitely recommend them without reservations to others. My 5-year-old daughter worked with Ali. Ali was great--really patient and warm, and a lot of fun! Most importantly, her work with our daughter greatly improved my kiddo's ability to articulate a clear "r" sound. The sessions also really made our daughter work hard (she was often extra tired on Wednesday nights from the concentration and effort), so it was evidence to us that the sessions engaged and motivated her. Chicago Speech Therapy is also very willing to accommodate working families. Ali came to my daughter's school most weeks, which was extremely convenient to our 2-working-parent household. When school was out, we had the flexibility to have Ali adjust and come to our house.
This place has become a home for us. Not because we are always here but because of the feeling we have when we come here. It’s comfortable, inviting, and warm. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted by a beautiful smile and the work they do for my son is great. My son has many sensory issues, developmental and speech delays. We started seeing Stephanie twice a week for speech therapy and she has done wonders! When we first started therapy, my little one was only using a few words and still engaging in a lot babbling that was not understandable. Once we started therapy, he made significant gains in a very reasonable period of time and is now speaking full sentences and his articulation is greatly improved. Stephanie knows exactly how to approach my son, how to motivate him, and how to maintain his attention for long periods of time. I am forever grateful to Chicago Speech therapy. Their professionalism and expertise have played a big part in my son’s recovery. Thank you.
Kristen was our in-home speech therapist for our 4 year old son. He needed help with a couple of letter sounds and he worked with her once a week. He was always so excited to see her and would run to the door to let her in. She always had a variety of games and toys to keep the sessions fun and engaging. I could constantly hear my son laughing during sessions and he viewed it as playtime with Miss Kristen. He has made tremendous progress in just a couple of short months. We just moved out of state, but we would have continued until he graduated from therapy! Kristen is friendly, punctual, professional & engaging with kids. I was kept well informed with the initial report listing the goals for therapy as well as progress reports after each session. I highly recommend Chicago Speech Therapy and your child will flourish with Miss Kristen!!
Karen George and her team are wonderful! I can't say enough about these hard-working professionals who deliver such high quality services to their clients. The team takes great care to serve their clients and their families well, continually engaging in learning opportunities and the latest research. Karen is such a knowledgeable, kind, and approachable therapist who is an expert in her field. Her team has followed her lead in professionalism and expertise as well as in love and care for each child. Highly recommend Chicago Speech Therapy!
My experience with Chicago Speech Therapy has been stellar. They are caring, professional, extremely convenient, and do their best to work with the parents to do whatever is in the best interest of the child they are treating. My child's speech therapist Kristen was very good. She clearly cared about my whole child, not just the speech component, and was very helpful in advising me on other help I can get with other issues. She obviously enjoyed her work and was patient and engaging during all her sessions with my child. She was great at communication and receptive to all my concerns during the treatment period, even working with me to intensify the sessions after the initial six months because of cost concerns. The only downside is cost. My insurance changed in mid-treatment and they did not take my new insurance, so it had to come out of pocket. (I didn't want to change therapists for fear of impeding the treatment.) I've spoken with other therapy providers that will work to reduce the "per session" costs if you don't have insurance, but CST did not do that, which was a little disappointing. Kristen did accelerate the sessions (assigning extra practice) so we could finish as quickly as possible, which I appreciated. There is also an administrative cost every month which was never covered by insurance. The results from Chicago Speech Therapy were excellent and I would highly recommend them to any parent.
