Chuy's opened on April 16, 1982 in an old, abandoned Texas Barbeque joint on iconic Barton Springs Road in Austin, TX. There was seating for about sixty, a women's restroom the size of a broom closet and a men's restroom that was, well, outside.

The food and ambiance are very good. Food tastes very fresh and our server Candy was amazing..All the people were very accommodating.
I’m from Austin, Texas where the Chuy’s Mother Ship is located so I know the quality of food. This location has it down and cooking it correctly. Amazing food, great hospitality and my server, Justin was awesome.
Excellent Nacho Bar, fresh food not overloaded with peppers like other Mexican restaurants. The Chuychanga was very good. Now open at Polaris!
Amazing food as always, servers are still working out some kinks but that’s to be expected for a brand new restaurant.
