This is by far one of the nicest and most welcoming violin repair facilities that I have ever been to. I have toured the world has a musician playing with Cirque du Soleil and other big acts. One thing that bothers me about classical musicians and the community as a whole, is the incredible snobbery. I was helped by a seasoned professional that had the kindness and awareness to deal with my modest instrument with care. He has over 20 years of experience working with Stradivarius is and other highly valuable musical instruments. I highly recommend this place if you come in with the right attitude . Jose has a lot of heart!

The most important activities in CREMONA Fine-violin- workshop have always been the repair and meticulous restoration of string instruments. we are happy to be at your service. Our work shop practice utilizes traditional, time honored repair and restoration techniques executed to the highest standard. We specialize in the repair and restoration of historically significant instruments. We cater to the needs of serious students and professionals including buying a new instrument, tonal adjustments, and day-to-day repairs. We also provide routine bow maintenance and repair and restoration from the simplest to the most complex. We give free repair estimates which require an in person examination of the instrument. Repairing an instrument often refers to minor work such as carving a new bridge, smoothing a fingerboard, treating pegs, and touching up the varnish.

Jose Cruz is a crook. He has "swallowed" thousands of dollars worth of my valuable instruments including Pistucci violin and EA Ouchard bow. He is also a liar and will deny everything. He also worked together with Joe Tang notorious violin thief. Tang then stole from his buddy Cruz so Cruz became a "victim". Boo Hoo.

My students love going to this shop! They have a rent-to-own deal for great quality violins, violas and cellos, with the best sounding strings. But they sell complete sets (instrument bow and case) for very reasonable prices. It's an all-in-one stop too because they have accessories, Everything . Bow Reahir no waiting for weeks one day service . All ages are welcome here, and amateurs and professionals are all treated kindly. Their bow rehairs are excellent! It is a close walk from Symphony . stop, or Bus and Bard No 1. Shop

I don't write reviews good or bad. I never find the time for This s however, Cremona SF, will get at least something from me. After all, they spent over an two with me. No judgement from the staff, not pushy like typical sales personnel. Very accommodating and courteous. From a craftsman point of view this shop lives to create and truly strives to enhance the trade while preserving it. Rude? No. They are very welcoming even when busy. Keep in mind that true craftsmen and engineering types aren't known for their personalities, they reflect passion and personality through their work and art. They typically respond to respect and appreciation. This shop treated me very well. I would highly recommend them to most. Cremona, Mr. Jose Cruz. I love the shop. Thank you.

Cremona SF. is one of the finest violin shops in San Francisco . They have the greatest amount of skill and respect for stringed instruments and bows as well as the customers which they serve. Their dedication and generosity. And we highly recommend. The shop has a nice atmosphere, without being pressured. They were very patient and helped me with choosing an upgrade violin for the higher grades and beyond. Lots of instruments to choose from and the freedom to try as many as i liked, and setup changes made as req. very happy with my purchase
