Dr. Marks treated me for pain stemming from CRPS. Another doctor had prescribed me common medications for nerve pain but they did not help. I appreciate that Dr. Marks did not make me try another batch of medications that were unlikely to work and leave me in severe pain and instead took a more proactive approach to pain management. I am happy with the care I have received and the explanation of CRPS, treatments, outcomes that Dr. Marks gave me. The front office staff and nurses at DPC are great as well. Sadly, if you are reading this you or someone you care about is probably in pain. I strongly recommend Dr.Marks if that is the case.

I have been in chronic pain for over a decade now and I have no qualms saying I have seen the best and worst of the medical community in my journey. I found Dr. Marks, Charlotte and Diagnostic Pain Center when the pain clinic I was going to fell apart and I went searching. I remember walking in for my first appointment, feeling jaded and weary of starting over with another "Pain Specialist". I went to the medical assistant at the front desk and before handing over my precious medical record forms I asked her that if she was a chronic pain patient would she come here? She said that absolutely, yes she would and that she would trust her life to Dr. Marks. I gave her my forms and have been with them ever since. I have worked with both Charlotte and Dr. Marks in many situations and through many changes and feel grateful for their patience, dedication and determination to get me to my goals. I have been treated how I have always wished Drs. would treat me....as an equal part of a positively working team. Not as a problem to deal with or as a lesser participant. I have tried hard to listen to my body and be true to the belief I hold that I have the power to overcome chronic pain and I try to be present and alive in each moment of each day. Diagnostic Pain has strived to support me in this endeavor in every way possible. No matter what comes up they are always there to help and go above and beyond what is needed. The staff is intelligent and full of personality which lines up with Dr. Marks who is a genius with a wicked sense of humor and he really knows his field. Charlotte is kind, funny and intelligent as well and they each have so much to offer and work well as a team. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I can honestly say that I don't even want to know where I would be today without this incredible team.

I was in a bad auto accident 2 years ago that has caused me chronic pain. I have seen several doctors but I never felt like I was getting proper help. Dr. Marks is different. His consultation and exam are lengthy and that shocked me. In today’s medicine all to often you only see a doctor for 5-10 minutes if you are lucky. Dr. Marks is extremely professional and thorough and after speaking with him I finally had a clear idea what was wrong with me along with a plan for me to heal properly. Fast forward a month and I’ve now received my second injection series and I already feel better. I know I might need more visits to him in the future but I fully trust him. I feel like I was given my life back. I’m so thankful for Dr. Marks and his team. He is the best doctor I’ve ever had. Thank you very much Dr. Marks.

I need to write a much longer review- just realized I hadn’t! I’ve been seeing Dr Marks since 2/2017. After several years at another practice, and years working with a urologist, we located my pain & have treated it with a SCS. I’m still getting used to it, but have begun the process of titrating OFF all Meds. My pain mgmt story is long and complicated but I’m very happy with EVERYONE here, how my case was reviewed (we went back to the beginning- something no one else had done) & no assumptions were made along the way. Another doctor told me I’d always be in pain. HERE: They don’t promote medication or procedures, they do promote finding AND SOLVING your pain. I can accept being in some amount of pain, that’s normal as you age, but pain that prevents you from enjoying life, family, anything isn’t normal. I’m very happy I worked with Dr Marks on this!!

Dr. Marks is great. He was easy to schedule with, understood the issue immediately I was having and healed my back issues quickly and easily. I would recommend him and his practice (and friendly staff) to anyone.

I LOVE Dr Marks! I have had multiple procedures done in office, had many many appointments, met almost every staff member... I can't say enough. I had another pain doctor who was HORRIBLE! Dr Marks made everything better. During my in office procedures, he knows I have high anxiety so he will talk to me about everything from axolotls to shoes to brisket. He always makes sure my comfort level is taken care of, answers every single question (and I have a list), explains everything twice over and is super easy to talk to. His compassion and love of his field is very obvious. His goal is to make people feel better and the whole staff is right there on board to make the experience as good as can be. Charlotte is an absolute wealth of knowledge and is sweet as can be. Jill is witty and keeps Dr Marks in check (i mean, keeps you smiling the whole procedure) . Elle makes sure everything is taken care of behind the scenes. The people there are there because they want to help... not for a paycheck. You aren't a number, you are a person who the passion is to help.

I had a wonderful experience here. Dr. Marks was great he listened to my concerns and never pushed anything on me. I did in time get the injection and it has helped alot with the inflammation in my shoulders from the bulging discs in my neck. So in turn I have less pain. I would recommend Austin pain diagnostic. The staff was always nice and helpful. They really care about there patients.

I have only seen Dr Marks at this practice, so I cannot speak for his associates. He has been patiently working with me to find an appropriate treatment to my long-term spinal disk degeneration and resulting sciatica, and we've had increasing success with different treatments. His administrators have always been courteous and helpful. Dr Marks himself is very focused and to-the-point. That does not mean that he is any way hurried. He has never left the room without being sure that all my questions have been answered. However, be prepared to give "just the facts" because small-talk and anecdotes are not what he's seeing patients for; he wants to get to the bottom of the problem and develop a strategy for the best way to treat it. He truly does care about his patients--he even called me personally one evening after-hours to check in and see how I was doing because of a message I had left with his staff earlier in the day had gone unanswered. I plan to stick with him because all I've ever gotten from other pain specialists were prescriptions for pills and empathy, which did me no good at all.

First of all, I just have to say I never thought that I would so greatly enjoy my experience with a pain doctor (nor did I think I would ever need one), but after almost 6-8 months of constant low back pain caused by a car accident last July I was finally referred to someone who could/actually helped me. Dr. Marks is a fantastic, funny and all around great human being/doctor. He was very straightforward with me from the beginning and has always been honest and helpful with any questions or concerns I've had along the process of getting me back to feeling like a normal person. I had ablations done in my low back as well as a steroid injection in my SI joint and they've almost completely taken my pain away. He made me feel very comfortable during all of the procedures and even played "I wanna be sedated" by the Ramones for me as they put the sedation in for my ablation just to make my experience less terrifying/uncomfortable. I wouldn't trust any other pain doctor with my pain needs and HIGHLY recommend anyone who is in need of a pain doctor to please see this guy! Thank you again Dr. Marks, also shout out to the great staff there as well, they've always been great, friendly and professional. 5 stars ++++

Dr. Marks is EXTRAORDINARY!!! I have more than a handful of incurable conditions including Rheumatoid Arthritis, Osteoarthritis, degenerative disc disease and severe chronic pain. I had been to 3 different pain management doctors in 5 years and had more than a handful of different procedures. One of them worked the first time for about 6 months but the second time I had it done it wasn't done correctly and caused more damage. The others are not even worth discussing. Dr. Marks spent a little over an hour with me and went over every aspect of my overall health and my conditions. We then went into great detail about my pain history and when it really started and how it progressed into what it is now. He took everything very seriously . He then did a very extensive physical exam. Dr. Marks then gave me several plans of actions including going to see a back and spine surgeon. He then put me on a dosage of pain medication that truly helps my pain. My pain level hasn't been this low in about 3 years. He is an amazing, attentive and extremely caring doctor.
