Dr. Balat has long been recognized as one of the top OBGYNs in the greater Houston area. He has delivered exceptional care to his patients, their families, and their friends since he started his practice in 1976. Dr. Balat graduated from UTMB medical school in Galveston in 1973 and completed his post-graduate training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Texas Medical School in Houston. Once he finished his residency, he started private practice in 1976 when he joined Dr. John Armstrong and Dr. Richard Weilburg.

Dr. Balat is amazing and very professional. He delivered two of my babies in 2 years and I was pleased at his service. I highly recommend him to any one in Houston.
Great doctor Only downside is the waiting sometimes. Over all I've had a good experience and he was able to solve an issue my old OBGYN was clueless about
Dr. Balat is a Great gynecologist. His staff always hard at work. Nurses are nice.
He has delivered all 4 children, I've been going to him since I was 18,I'm 37 now. He truly has helped me with my cyst problems the past 4 years. He's a wonderful doctor. Wouldn't go to anyone else.
Wasn't a great experience for me like I hoped. Everyone else's review is what convinced me to go here. I went in thinking I would be seen by Dr. Balat, but unfortunately that was not the case. I still wanted to give it a fair shot. I definitely should've looked elsewhere. I have many things that I'm upset about but it is what it is, and I hope that they realize that they need to make a lot of improvements, starting w/some of the staff members.
I was referred to Dr. Balat by a friend and i love my experience with him so far. He is very thorough and is genuinely concerned about my concerns! Ive had four visits so far and he checked on the baby via ultrasound for each one!!! Thats my favorite part lol

I would not have another OBGYN he is the best. Took fantastic care of me with Extremely High Risk Pregnancy 20 years ago. And today I would not have it any other way !That Little Premature baby is Very well and healthy and now his patient as well. Your are the Best Dr. B
Dr Balat delivered BOTH of our children! This man is a GIFT from God. He left his home in the middle of the night to get to the hospital in time to monitor me and catch our babies as they entered this world.Our kids are grown men now and he has kept up with their progress over these twenty plus years. YES! HE IS A SAINT! Also Dr Balat found my lump and saved my life. As a fifteen year breast cancer survivor I owe this man my life. I am cancer free. Never had chemo or radiation because he found it early. He is a Loving Kind, Humble, and Wonderfully Made Human Being. I thank God for Dr. Balat every day! My entire family LOVES YOU Sir!!!
Horrible. Pre-op was fine but after surgery was a nightmare. The surgery he performed is not what we agreed on. Part of the procedure clearly not done. Pain continued to worsen severely after surgery, drugs weren't doing anything to cut the pain. I was told specifically "You shouldn't expect to be 100% pain free" (Pain getting worse not better after surgery is a red flag in any other office and was ignored at this practice). Turns out I had a raging MRSA infection post op that they didn't find until a full month after surgery. Don't let this man operate on you!
