For routine appointments, birth control, and the first part of my pregnancy I went to Asdells office through Community Health Network. I was 18 when I got pregnant in 2013. Everyone there was very rude and judgemental. I never had the same doctor each visit either. I finally had enough with them and switched to Dr. Jains office. At the time, I couldn't have been happier with the switch. She and her staff were all very nice. Sometimes it would take over an hour for her to see you, but I understood since she was the only doctor there and had emergencies to tend to. She ended up inducing me on my due date, not because of complications or health concerns, but because she was going on vacation. After she delivered my son, I went to my 1 month follow up. I wanted to get back on birth control. She recommended the Mirena IUD, but I declined. I told her I did plenty of research on the side effects and I knew a ton of people personally who had nothing but issues with it. I said I just wanted the pill and she told me that was stupid. She said I would be back in there in less than a year pregnant again. I didn't get any BC that day. I went back over a year later (still not pregnant) to try again. Her staff was completely different and all foreign this time. I could not understand a single thing the receptionist was trying to tell me. They took me back and when I got on the table, I noticed a dead roach on the ground next to the table. I wanted to do Nexaplanon this time and she said they would have to order it and they would call me once it came in to have it put in. I waited a few weeks without a call and decided to give them a call. The foreign receptionist answered again and I tried to explain the situation. She didn't understand me and I didn't understand her. Very unprofessional. Once I got it through to her why I was calling, she told me it was my job to call my insurace company and order it. No one told me that. I work at a doctor's office myself and we have two Hispanic front desk assistants. They have a thick accent, but it's still very easy to understand them and they understand you. There is no reason to have someone answering your phones and checking in patients that has no clue what's going on. Needless to say, I still did not get my birth control and I will not be going back.

Dr. Jain is a very sweet and caring person, however as a doctor she is not very knowledgeable. Her staff changes a lot and they have been unprofessional many times. They discuss what's going on between staff members and aren't empathetic to your needs or concerns. At the time of my first pregnancy there was one staff member who I really liked and I was so sad to find out she was no longer there. During that pregnancy I experienced so much pain and discomfort that I called multiple times a week and I was just told that it was growing pains, Dr. Jain even suggested that my symptoms were psychosomatic! I'm educated in a psychological profession so I knew what she was implying and quickly assured her that my symptoms were not made up. Not long after I miscarried. I had to have a D&C and I do remember Dr. Jain holding my hand until I fell asleep; she had tears in her eyes. Like I said as a person she is genuine and caring. I quickly got pregnant again and started having similar pain and again she assured me everything was fine. On one visit she made the statement that we missed the date to check for Down syndrome; we told her that she never told us when that needed to be done and basically said that we should've kept track by knowing how many weeks I was. After that I began to breakout from my hips up to my chest, it was horrible! She said it was not a big deal. I eventually went to my primary care doctor and he was concerned and gave me some type of shot immediately. I had an appointment with Dr. Jain a week later and while she was checking me out she noticed the rash and asked why I never called to let her know. I reminded her that I had actually seen her and she said it was nothing to be concerned about. I found out the rash I had was linked to premature labor and possibly miscarriage. I was soon put on bedrest due to all the pain I was suffering from and Dr. Jain started to give me shots to help stop any early labor. My water broke when I was 34 weeks. When it was time for me to push the nurses were very upset that Dr. Jain was taking too long to get there; I could tell they were worried she would not make it. I got the impression that she does this a lot. When she finally did show up it was just in time. As far as the delivery goes she did great. Dr. Jain did everything she was supposed to do and safely delivered our baby girl. I thought about switching doctors many times but due to the mess with my insurance and knowing that Dr. Jain was such a sweet person I decided not to. Although in the end everything went well I do wish I would have. I feel like another doctor would have taken my concerns more seriously and I might not have had a miscarriage and my little one might have carried closer to full term.

My experience was so bad with Dr. Jain that it has taken me three years to be ready to talk about it here. I will go straight to the main points that made my visit traumatic: I did not mind being asked to have a medical student perform my exam, but Dr. Jain sat in the corner at the opposite end of the room and didn't supervise at all. She *did* bark a couple orders to the student, which made the poor girl more nervous. While the student was nice, she was clearly anxious and brand new at this job. She put on the gloves and --of course I couldn't tell until it was too late-- she didn't use lubricant! Her exam was rough and incompetent, painful, and took longer than it should have, but if she'd had proper supervision, I can only assume it would have gone better. When she said she'd finished, Dr Jain came over, and without asking or warning, started shoving her hands inside me, telling the student "you do this, then you do this, then you check this". I was getting a second exam with no warning or permission. In thirty years of going to obgyns, in the past I've always had a doctor who eased me into everything, who told me what she was about to do next, who used lubricant and heated instruments, and who had a good bedside manner. But Dr. Jain didn't talk to me, didn't ask questions, didn't prep me for what was to come next. And THEN she did something that has NEVER EVER even been mentioned in any of my thirty years of exams, let alone performed--she shoved her fingers in my anus, and said "anus feels normal". The experience up till then made me just want to cry and hide, but at this point, frankly I felt raped. I couldn't talk about it. Who could I tell? Who could I report it to? And now it's three years later; I had to look her up in order to have my records faxed to a new doctor since I am due for another exam. I saw this option to write a review and thought "I need to do this, I'm ready". I see others have had terrible experiences. I can't imagine that the positive reviews came from anyone besides her 'cronies'. I noticed she even reviewed herself. My other theory is that she behaves as an angel toward patients of her own middle eastern nationality, or with premium insurance. I am white with medicaid, and I wonder if she might be racist or hateful to people with a lesser insurance coverage. In the end, it doesn't matter why she treats patients unprofessionally or inhumanely. I honestly can't believe that she is still practicing medicine; even if only one tenth of people reported her unethical practices, I would think that she would have been stripped of her medical license. So my recommendation is to avoid this doctor. There is somebody better for you no matter what insurance you have or what ethnicity you are.

I'll try to make this short as I can, I had dr swati jain. In 2012, I do not like the way she handled any of it, I had problems towards the end when haf my daughter!! She does not listen!! She just wanted to push more meds unnecessary meds!! She kept telling me I was getting antsy!! I kept telling her something was not right !! I was due in Sept I had preclaimpia, I found out in July.. I told her I don't think I'm going to go all the way to Sept. She got mad at me !! For saying that then come August 15 I went in to see her my blood pressure was sky high!! Then did an emergency c section !! Had a healthy baby girl !! Then went home 1week later I was hemorrhaging!! Went to the hospital they made me go upstairs to labor and delivery and put me on Pitocin to see if it wld help with the hemorrhage, went home 2 weeks later hemorrhaging again !!! Then back to the hospital again !! This time she performed DNC. Said everything is fine go home !! I came home for an hour !!! Started hemorrhaging again !! I went back to the hospital had to have a hysterectomy!! And this whole time she was not listening to me !! Shr just kept shoving me off!! And I have talked to family members and friends they all felt like and I did too that she was gonna kill me!! All because she did not do her job !! Terrible doctor!!
