After graduating high school as valedictorian, Dr. Michelle Wong attended Cornell University, where she graduated with "distinction in all subjects" in biology. She then was awarded a full scholarship from the United States Navy to attend the George Washington University School of Medicine. She graduated "with distinction" and went on to complete her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, MD and the Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, DC.

I started seeking a GYN earlier this year and was nervous about finding someone that would provide me the quality and care that I need it after struggling for so many years with fibroids, ovarian issues and so many other symtoms that come along with that. I am so grateful that I found Dr. Wong! She is very professional and extremely knowledgeable. She has wonderful bedside manner and she takes the time to explain every detail so there is no question on whether or not you were getting exceptional care. I am so happy with the results of my surgery and the recover care. I've already had a few friends ask for her info. I can't thank her and her staff enough!
Absolutely LOVE Dr. Wong!! She is the BEST OB/GYN! She is patient, kind, knowledge, and takes time to really listen to your questions and concerns. I never feel rushed and she is extremely thorough when it comes to a patient's overall health. She delivered my first son 2.5 years ago on a Saturday evening! She was so patient letting me labor while ensuring I/the baby were both healthy! I trust her completely and every medical recommendation she makes! She delivered my 2nd son March 2017 again on a Saturday in the afternoon! We are beyond grateful for Dr. Wong! She is truly a blessing and such a gift to our community!

I heard great things about Dr. Wong and I found her very friendly and professional, but I ultimately had a bad experience. She never provided any counseling or "what to expect" information. Everything I learned to do was through the internet and friends. If I brought up concerns, she blew them off as "well, you're pregnant" without really giving any explanation as to why those things might happen when you're pregnant or when it should be a cause for concern. I went to the emergency room several times and was admitted to the hospital and placed on bed rest by another doctor at that hospital. I had contractions during my second trimester and my baby was developing at a low weight and many other issues, but she never seemed worried about any of it. I was pregnant and I needed to get over it. I always kept her nurse notified of my visits to the hospital, but when I would go in to my appointment, the doctor never asked if my condition had gotten better or checked to make sure the problems had resolved. I finally developed pre-ecclampsia that went undiagnosed by her until the end, 2 hours before being rushed in to an emergency C section a full month before my due date. Looking back, there were many red flags that pointed to a high-risk pregnancy, but she ignored all of them. I never felt comfortable asking her about my concerns, because she always made me feel as though I were just complaining. She's very knowledgeable and capable, but completely blew me off and didn't bother to make sure my baby and I were safe.
My significant other went to see Dr. Wong for the first time last month and she was so HAPPY with Dr. Wong. The doctor was patient, understanding, did not rush her and gave my significant other her full undivided attention. She was happy with the medical service Dr. Wong gave her. She also likes how Dr. Wong’s office team works with her patients. The office staff was very professional, nice, kind and knowledgeable. The nurse was very sincere and always called my significant other back when she told her she will. Overall this office is EXCELLENT and deserves 10 Stars. We really hope that Dr. Wong keeps her practice running this way all the time so we can send/refer more patients to her. This office really cares for the health and well being of their patients. I am very pleased with this office.
She is terrible, would do minimum if you don't ask for options. How can an average person know enough to understand what are the options? She was lack of experience when it comes to complication. Stay away and find an experienced OB! Her good bedside manner and smile will not save life when needed and believe me there are somebody with much more experience than her!
Dr. Wong has been my OBGYN for more than 3 yrs and I was able to give birth to 2 healthy babies during this period under her care. I had unusual “luck” of having both babies in the breech positions till right before the due dates and she was able to turn them around by performing successful inversion procedures. She was extremely patient with my requests during the last labor and was willing to let me try vaginal delivery but she knew when to make the right judgement call at the right time. My husband and I are very happy and grateful to her.
I have mixed feelings...Dr Wong delivered my daughter in June 2016 and my son in October 2017. I chose to be induced both times because of baby’s size. Both healthy babies-thank goodness- and is the reason I went back. I like(d) Dr. Wong because she is good at what she does. The only complaint I have is that her patience with me could have been a little better while I was laboring. She kept telling me I should be this many centimeters by this time and that my body was not responding like it should be (even though the baby was showing no signs of distress). C section kept getting brought up (which I was already stressing about) if I wasn’t dilated by a certain time, even though I had clearly informed her it was very important to me to have a natural birth. I Didn’t feel like she really cared about that. The feeling was she cared more about getting the baby out when it was convenient for her. Good thing my nurses were AMAZING (Sharon for my girl and Breanna for my boy). They really helped me stay calm and focused. Sure enough, I am just one of those women whose body takes its time with laboring and there’s nothing wrong with that as long as baby is NOT showing signs of distress. Would have been nice and so much more reassuring to hear that from my Dr first. Thank goodness I held my ground and ended up having both babies naturally and without a C-section. So, long story short, I am thankful Dr. Wong delivered both my babies alive and healthy, I do think she is great at what she does...I just wish I could have had a more pleasant experience with such an important event in my life.
Her office seems quiet but there is a long wait even if you have an appointment! The billing was wrong too - I paid my amount in full on a card at the front desk and it took ages to get it worked out... after it hit my credit report! Medical services are only half of the customer experience. The effectiveness of the business end matters, too
Finding Dr. Wong was a TRUE BLESSING! I can't say enough great things about her. I was put in contact with her through another Dr's office, I needed to see a Dr. that very day, Dr. Wong could accommodate me. She was so understanding and patient. I asked lots of questions and she never made me feel like I was bothering her with what I was asking. I ended up needing an outpatient procedure and it all went very smoothly. She's amazing. I would recommend her to anyone needing an OB/GYN.
