Great professionalism and "bedside manner" when I was seen by Dr. Purath. She is very understanding and compassionate. I could never see her being verbally abusive towatds any of her patients. Now, I am a very timid person when it comes to going to see a new doctor, but there was no untrustworthy feeling when I was being seen and evaluated by her. She even gave me a hug when I broke into tears, telling me, "We will work through this together." Dr. Purath has a very nice and welcoming office location, located conveniently near Southridge Mall. I am always at ease when I go into see her.
Dr Purath is the best physician I've ever been to. I have severe, chronic migraines that have persisted the past 7 years and the most relief I've received has been with her. I receive botox treatments and she makes the unpleasant procedure fast and as comfortable as possible. She clearly spends a lot of time and energy on continuing education; I've been to several neurologists and she is by far the most knowledgeable and experienced. Not only this, but she is so incredibly kind. I started to cry in one of my appointments out of frustration, and not only was that not irritating to her (which it is with so many doctors) but also she sent me a card in the mail a few days later telling me to hang in there. Who does that? I'll tell you: the nicest doctor in the world. I've also only had pleasant experiences with her staff. I really like her nurse, and their billing specialist has been great at jumping through all hoops my crappy insurance throws at him. I was happy when they moved to Greenfield so I didn't have to drive so far, but I'd drive to another state to see her if I needed to. I'm sorry that the other reviewer had an unpleasant experience, but I strongly disagree about Dr. Purath being a bad doctor for severe cases or being unhelpful in crisis situations. That has not remotely been my experience.
Dr Purath's warm and kind reception as well as keen understanding and insight into my diagnosis was wonderful.
Wonderful experience from the minute I walked in the door. Professional, kind, experienced. When you see a specialist like this, you are often at your wits end and Dr. Purath took all the time needed to get all the information--not like some doctors where they rush you in and get you out. I would highly recommend her to anyone needing her expertise.
I met Dr Purath in 2000 and she helped me with my chronic migraines and when I had them during pregnancy she knew what to do. She is one of the best neurologists I have ever seen. Great patient/doctor relationship
I am not home free yet, but I have NEVER met another doctor like her. I have complete confidence that she will get it resolved.
I have worked with A LOT of neurologists and have had MANY bad experiences but Dr. Purath is a treasure. She is both personable AND knowledgeable. Instead of being egotistical, she considers herself part of a team to help me solve the epilepsy I have been dealing with for almost 30 years. I feel hope based on her willingness to listen to me and her desire to keep up-to-date on all possible treatments that will help her patients.
I have been seeing Traci for years, and there is no doctor's experience like hers! She has improved my quality of life with lowering the amount of migraines and headaches that I get per month! I have been feeling so much better since being a patient of hers!
I met with Dr. Purath and her staff today for the first time. I honestly am still in shock at the care I received. Dr. Purath and her staff, trust me they were all involved, showed me so much care and compassion at a time when I desperately need it. I have several issues and she jumped right in and took action. She not only took action she also has a plan which I haven't had in some time now. I honestly can not express how happy I am to have been referred to Dr. Purath. Dr. Purath and her team most definitely will go out of their way to care for you.
Dr Purath is my angel. I have suffered from headaches and migraines for twenty years with no diagnosis. I saw her years ago and we were getting to close to getting answers but then my insurance changed and I was no longer able to see her. Nearly ten years later, I saw that her practice moved to Greenfield, right down the road from me. I knew I had to see her again. A few visits later and I finally have answers. I have surgery set for next month and will be on my way to having a much less painful life. Thank you, Dr Purath. I appreciate the kindness and the thoughtful ear that you gave that has led me here. I can’t say enough about this woman!
