Company Description

In 1994, Gwinnett County was the largest county east of the Mississippi without a four-year college. So Gwinnett County leaders purchased 160 acres of land and designated it specifically for the development of a college campus. GGC opened its doors in 2006 as the first four-year college founded in Georgia in more than 100 years, and the first four-year, public college created in the U.S. in the 21st century. Georgia Gwinnett College is a member of the University System of Georgia.

GGC is an excellent school! You have a campus full of love and support! GGC offers so many different opportunities you would wonder why it isn't a university. The Faculty and Staff are so humbled and caring and the Professor really teach. The Professors know your name and will meet with you after class for tutoring. I couldn't have made a better choice than GGC!

I went to get my claw card today They said that I had to walk to the other side of school to pay for it Then I had to walk all the way back with a receipt just to get a replacement card ! Not only that there is never any parking at this school The school is way over crowded I have to park in the 3000 lot which is 3/4 of a mile away from my first class which is completely awful especially when it is in climate weather The school also charges 15$ to replace a card that probably costs them 50¢ which is bogus considering I pay 2700$ a semester to go to school here and that's not including my books that are required for the courses. Including 98% of the time the books we buy for the classes are never used !!!!!!!!! Why required a 300$ book and don't even use it !

The school treats commuters like a red head stepchild. Parking sucks, they don't care. Campus police are like leprechauns, you'll never see them but they"ll leave you a parking ticket to fill their pot of gold. School doesn't want individual thinkers; pretty much a "follow the crowd and please don't get out line" place. But at least you don't have to drive to Atlanta for a bachelors now.

Honestly great school. The professors really do care about their students. People who say it’s terrible are probably just mad because something didn’t go their way! Highly recommend this college!

This is the WORST college I've ever been to (I've been to about 6). They have so many technical issues it is ridiculous! I am now behind in my classes AGAIN because my password doesn't work (for the second time this semester and it's only been 1 week) and the password-reset system does absolutely NOTHING to fix the problem. So I have to wait until right before my class to get this issue resolved because I can't put in a online Helpdesk ticket because >>>>>I can't log in<<<<<. And they don't resolve issues like this over the phone, so there's no point in calling. What a basic school; waste of emotional and financial energy.

Beautiful campus but a required orientation for transfer students with no coffee at 7:30am (oh and 60% of kids were here by 8:15) is just irritating.

I cannot say enough great things about GGC and its professors. I started attending this college right after high school (fall 2015). During orientation I knew this was the right school for me. Although I received acceptance letters from more "advance" colleges and universities I took my chances and gave GGC a try. And honestly it was the best decision ever! The professors here really do care about their students. When high school teachers says things like "your college professors will not care about you" they are not talking about GGC professors. When I first started here so many people expressed to me how un-college like this school was, how boring it is, and how the student body has no school spirit. College is what you make of it GET INVOLVE! I will always be grateful to GGC and the amazing professors that educates here.
