Good Dirt LA is an intimate and social pottery studio in the Del Rey neighborhood of Los Angeles. In addition to mixed levels classes for adults and kids, we offer workshops with ceramic artists, one-time introductory classes, private lessons, and more! Our studio philosophy centers on building a welcoming creative community where each person is inspired and empowered to explore and learn.

I absolutely love this place. All of the instructors are extremely talented and love to teach their students the best practices for pottery making. It's a pretty neat process from start to finish. I also think it's awesome that you see all levels working on the wheel when you're in class. It motivates you to become better :). I highly recommend this studio to everyone - whether you're just starting out or have many years of experience.

While visiting LA from Chicago, I decided to take a pottery class at Good Dirt LA. I had a private beginner's class with Svetlana. She was amazing at teaching me each of the important steps in using the wheel to actually create a usable piece! She is a great teacher in that she was more involved in my first piece and then allowed me to do it independently the second time. I'm proud of my two bowls and can't wait to see what they look like after the final glaze firing. One more thing, pottery is a fantastic way to rid your mind of the day's clutter and relax. Highly recommend it!!!
