Midtown Atlanta has seen a lot of changes over the years, but 1150 B Peachtree Street has remained a part of the historical Atlanta Woman’s Club since 1907. Also known as The Wimbish House, this mansion on Peachtree is one of the few originals that remain. In 1920, the addition to The Wimbish House, which now houses Opera, was complete. Architects P. Thornton Marye and Barret Alger (of Fox Theatre fame) designed the theatre and banquet hall which the Atlanta Journal proclaimed “the South’s most complete auditorium, gem-like in its beauty.” This additional structure was mostly used for dinners, meetings, Sunday teas, lectures, operas and live theatre.

It's a pretty place with a big patio. Bathrooms are a little too small for the potential capacity. Saw Werq the World and it was easy to find a spot where we could see, so that was nice.
We bought premium tickets for New Year's Eve. The VIP was way over crowded. It took 30mins in line to get a drink at our "private" bar and the bartenders were begging for tips when their tip buckets were full and saying they don't work for free and they needed a tip Before service. If was terrible! However the girl dj was good. She was an ariel and had two other performers with her.
Cool venue sometimes has dress code and vip service if your not expecting may turn you off, not the most expensive bottle service, good layout, mainly college kids but a mix, parking nearby, street vendors with food outside more often than not, not exactly top end but a good medium. I always enjoy myself.
I love this place! Best stereo system in atlanta! Great atmosphere and service! Their vip section provides bottle seevice at reasonable prices for groups. Highly recommend vip entry at a minimum. Keep an eye on their website for the most up to dat bookings/shows! Outstanding attraction :)
I liked the design and layout of Opera back when it was called 1150.. However; these guys know how to throw party! VIP is affordable and they have great tables, can go back stage, sometimes drinks are free.. they do need to work on the air conditioning! !! I've seen that place packed where you can't move back when it was called the 1150. They didn't have any issues keeping it cool in there. Great venue, location, employees, and talented artists! Just fix the air guys! :)
Easily the worst of NC I've been to in all my time in the scene. Poor lighting, sticky floors, awful sound.
Terrible. Terrible atmosphere. Terrible staff. Overpriced. Paid $11 just for some water. Water is free.
Omg!!! This place was an absolute blast! Went for New Year's weekend with hubby and a couple girlfriends. The drinks were waaay too strong lol compared to what I'm used to here in Indiana. Prices were decent. Parking was 20.00, coat check was 20.00, drinks were 10.00 each. Music was definitely on point and we had an unforgettable night!
This venue is a well-run operation! Entry lines generally move quickly and the bathrooms are fairly accessible. Drinks a pricey, but no more than any other upscale venue around Atlanta. Can get pretty packed, but the sound system in there makes it worth it.
Always has a great atmosphere. Nice crowd and the club itself is beautiful! They cater to different genres on different nights so you can see what works best for you.
