Established in 1899, the San Jose Country Club is the fourth oldest golf club in Northern California. The course is truly unique to the Bay Area. Tom Nicoll, a Scottish-born professional and the club’s first head pro, designed it in 1912.

Was here for a San Jose Police Emerald Society event. Very classy with big dining room and attentive, friendly staff.
THE SAN JOSE COUNTRY CLUB PROVIDES DECEIVING AND MISLEADING INFORMATION! I had the worst employment offer ever by this deceiving and misleading so called Country Club. The San Jose Lying Club is more appropriate. I applied as a Prep Cook and was SUPPOSEDLY HIRED BY CHEF JOSE AND THE COUNTRY CLUB. I was hired as a Prep Cook and was told to come down to pick up my New Hire Packet. After completing and returning my New Hire Packet to Chef Jose, HE SAID HE WOULD GIVE MY PACKET TO THE GIRL IN THE OFFICE AND WILL CALL ME WHEN SHE HAS PROCESSED IT. He took my packet and walked away. He never called me with a follow up as to when I will start. I called again a week later and he said that he will check with the girl in the front and will call me back when he finds out. He never did. I CALLED THIS MORNING ONLY TO HEAR FROM HIM THAT HE PUT IN HIS TWO WEEKS AND THAT THE NEW CHEF WILL BRING ON HIS OWN PEOPLE. So I called the Country Club Front Office Manager Alissa. OFFICE MANAGER ALISSA TOLD ME THAT SHE NEVER RECEIVED MY NEW HIRE PACKET AND THAT SHE HAS NO IDEA ABOUT WHAT HAPPENED. She spoke with Chef Jose to figure out was going on. Only to find out that Chef Jose is Leaving the Country Club in a week, two weeks or a month from now. THEY DONT HAVE THIER STORY STRAIGHT! Alissa told me that my employment offer has to be taken back! NOW I AM OUT OF A JOB! I WAS DECEIVED BY CHEF JOSE AND LIED TO BY THE COUNTY CLUB! STAY AWAY FROM THIS DECEIVING COMPANY!!!
My friends & I enjoyed a pleasant and delicious lunch followed by 18 holes of golf. The staff was in tune with our needs, and we had a terrific day. Thank you for taking care of us!

What can i say...its a private course great members, great environment...very clean and the customer service gets a A+
Great greens, course plays longer than the scorecard, and has a great view of the city.
The occasion was the celebration of life of a patriarch of a very close family I have known the greater part of my life. Point being, the service and attention to every detail made this a very memorable and yet the tone set by the club was comenserate with the milestone of a wonderful friend and family.
Great place but not a lot of space for parking. Was there for a celebration of life and I had to park down the atreet.
As a long time member, I can attest that this club is the best deal in Silicon Valley. The golf course is wonderful. You will never tire of playing this jewel in the East Foot Hills.
