The intention of The New Phoenix Pottery Studio is to provide a supportive environment in which students can investigate the creative and functional possibilities of clay.

Creating with clay, one of earth's most abundant raw materials, is an ancient process dating from the 7th century BC. Since Neolithic times, clay has been used to create household objects as well as purely aesthetic work.
