Company Description

Twin Town Guitars is first and foremost a music store by and for musicians. Founded in August 1997, and owned by Andrew and Carrie Bell, the vision for the shop is simple: Get it done honestly, quickly, correctly, and affordable. The staff is made up of musicians, who are in the studio and on the stage, who knows how to play and what to expect, and who just plain want to help you make music.

Great online service, fair prices for used gear and shipping. They even answered my emails quickly and meaningfully. Awesome shop.

Today, TTG helped my friend afford a new guitar for her daughter for Christmas. I hugged my friend as she got teary and told me this was the first year she could afford to buy her girls gifts and not have to rely on Toy's For Tots. It was a wonderful feeling for us all. Truly a gift to South Minneapolis. Great service! Welcoming and friendly!

The staff is always very helpful and they have a great selection of various instruments (not just guitars). And they repair stuff!

Twin town is my favorite guitar shop in the twin cities. Tons of variety paired with great prices. The staff are the best part though, all very considerate and knowledgeable, and are willing to work with you and your particular situation. Warren, one of their guitar techs has helped me out several times and does excellent work for a great price. Always pleased, highly recommend.

This place is a gem! We are so lucky to have Twin Town in the neighborhood. The teachers are wonderful and they hold recitals at fun venues, like Bryant Lake Bowl.

I got me a beauty of a Strat here for a good price. In the future I will start looking for a Jaguar. This will be one of my first stops.

I use to come here pretty regularly a when i lived downtown. was a favorite shop of mine! But was in for a quick visit and didn’t get any sort of welcome or acknowledgement from the staff. even caught eyes with me! but still lacked interest of a simple welcome they were deep into a ‘World of Warcraft’, conversation and seemed to be more interested in that and air drumming to Thrice in the background. great gear, disinterested staff.

We’ve been taking music lessons for years at Twin Towns and love them! Recently, When our youngest daughter wanted to play the cello, they went out of their way to find us a high-quality, affordable cello and had it vetted first by her cello instructor. Top notch service and expert advice. Thanks!!

I just had an excellent experience here tonight! Huge shout out to Dan behind the counter! He’s a true miracle worker! Staff is incredibly knowledgeable kind and helpful! I highly recommend stopping in and exploring their inventory! They have a handful of gnarly synthesizers in the back too!
