This is a fantastic place to train! The environment is extremely positive, and Sam is an awesome instructor for all levels and mindsets. No matter how I feel walking in the front door, I always feel 10x better when I walk out, and the good feeling doesn't stop there; it transitions into all parts of your life. No matter what your goal is, this academy supports it and will help you achieve it. We have people who train regularly for competition and even others who use BJJ as a fitness hobby or pass-time. Definitely worth stopping by to AT LEAST spectate a class, although I highly recommend you bring a friend, put on a gi, and participate in class! See you on the mat!

Sam is an incredibly gifted instructor and has cultivated a positive, welcoming culture in his gym. The intro classes are exceptionally beginner-friendly, and in no time you'll be rolling in the advanced classes with a great group of people. FITin45 is an awesome, functional, fun workout. You can't go wrong with Buckhead BJJ.

Such an awesome bunch of people and fantastic atmosphere! One of the most inviting and energetic places I've ever had the pleasure of being a part of. Head coach, Sam Joseph, is a wonderful teacher and friend. You won't just learn a martial art here, you'll join a family.

I have been around Buckhead Jiujitsu a little less than a year and am a transplant from another BJJ school. The coach is friendly, extremely knowledgeable, and highly attentive to the individual students needs. The student body is highly diverse containing people who are amped up about competing in grappling to people who are more laid back and just there to learn a skill, generally they are all very pleasant people. The academy's premises are well maintained and clean, although due to the amount of students training, during the most crowded of times the amount of mat space can get pretty tight. All and all I cannot recommend this place enough.

Never have I been to another gym that has multiple black and brown belt coaches that are so technically skilled, approachable, likable as people, willing to share at the same time and willing to roll with us each and every day. This place changed my life. You got to give this place a try!

Buckhead BJJ is a great place to train if you are in the Atlanta area. The school has a very friendly family atmosphere. The head instructor, Sam Joseph, and all of his students are very welcoming to newcomers. There are a wide range of students to train with from brand new white belts to several competitive black belts so any level of practitioner should be able to sharpen their skills. If you are in Atlanta don't miss the opportunity to train with these folks.

Fantastic instruction and very welcoming Jiu Jitsu academy. Plenty of parking (which in Atlanta can be very hard to come by), and I highly recommend this gym!

I came to visit this school because it was recommended by one of my former students. I also brought my son to give him an opportunity to learn the basics of grappling from a Bjj perspective. Sam is a cool down to earth very welcoming instructor who has great energy and vibes coming from him and his students. I definitely recommend Buckhead Jujitsu for those seeking to train, compete, and meet new people.
