My grandson has been attending for about a year and a half. The classes provide him with discipline and the opportunity to follow directions. Additionally, he has the opportunity to interact with his peers. I think it is a wonderful extra curricular activity for young children, in particular. As a teacher, I can appreciate how the class instructions transfer to the academic classroom.
Absolutely phenomenal! I recently began taking classes and I feel like it was one of the best decisions I could have made. The instructors are very professional as well as courteous and friendly. The curriculum does not focus on just martial arts, it also focuses on becoming a better individual physically, mentally, and emotionally. As a student, you progress at your own rate, and are not subjected to ridiculous standards that demotivate you. It is something not just for young children, but also for teens and adults. As a mother and a student I strongly recommend that if you're on the fence about training....just do it!!! Your entire life will change!
What a great activity for both children and their families!!! My daughter's confidence level has boosted in the year she's been part of Grand Master Chung's academy. Tonchu is committed to the individual success of every student and they make all events (from classes, to rank tests, to tournaments) an inspirational experience not just for the student's but the entire family as well!!!
Being a parent of a 6 year old proud learning Martial Artist, I am very proud to say that My son Alden is training among the best. I've seen many martial arts schools, but I would have to say that Tonchu martial arts academy is by far the best. The staff has a great attitude every day, the instructors are well versed in their discipline and make classes a joy.
We love Tonchu! Our 2 young sons recently started taking classes at Tonchu and we are very happy with the experience. They are getting good exercise and learning amazing physical and life skills at the same time. I really appreciate how they reinforce life skills (and things that matter as parents) in every class such as kindness, controlling emotions, helping others, sharing, and being a good person in general. We love Tonchu and we will be long-time members.
Tonchu has been a great confidence builder for my son. I could barely get him in the front door when we started because he didn't want to go. Grand master Chung and the rest of his staff patiently worked with him until he got comfortable and enjoyed coming to class each week. All of the instructors are excellent with the students. Tonchu has exceeded my expectations and am so glad we decided to come here. I also love Grand master Chungs stories about character, respect and responsibility.
Tonchu has been such a great experience for my daughter. We came here in search of a program to help build her confidence, but what we have received is so much more. The instructors instill in the students excellent leadership skills, respect for community, teamwork, commitment, and self respect. My daughter's confidence has indeed improved, but more than that the quality of her life all together is better because of this program.
Tonchu is the best martial arts school in the Atlanta area. The instructors do an amazing job in instilling important values such as discipline, respect, self-control, teammateship, and perseverance in their students, not only in martial arts but in all other areas of their lives. The lessons they learn at this school they will carry with them through out their entire lives. Three of my children attend the school, and I hope I am able to keep them there until they earn their black belts and beyond. The entire team at Tonchu is like a family, the instructors, the students, and the other parents, especially Grand Master Chung, Mr. Johnson, Muhammad and Mr. Dorsey~ Thank you Grand Master, thank you Tonchu for all you are offering to our children, we are lucky to have you in our communities!
Grand Master Chung and his team are top notch. My daughter just turned 7 and has been attending for about 4 months now and we really see a difference in her abilities to focus and complete tasks which was our main reason for seeking out Martial Arts in the first place. She has also improved her confidence, and physical strength. I get just as much out of the class by watching. Grand Master Chung's parables about life are inspirational and thought provoking. They treat all of their students with respect and dignity while at the same time maintaining strict discipline. I would highly recommend Tonchu Martial Arts.
Instructors seemed amazing, sincere. "Courtesy, modesty, integrity, respect." It all goes out the window when you try to cancel. I had 2 sons in the program, one was diagnose with epilepsy and we didn't want him participating in contact sports until all the test result were in. They went behind my back lied to my doctors. Disgusting people we pulled both kids out immediately. My oldest son was with them for 5yrs.
