I too had issues with the financial aid department / accounting department. I transferred schools and had my new school send down my deferment paperwork for the loan I had with them. They said they never got it and put me in default to pay the loan back while I was a full time student somewhere else. Had to pay back 5k over the summer to get a new federal loan at my new school. Not easy paying back 5 k as a student trying to set money aside for next year's tuition.

10 years after graduation and I still attribute much of my success, and overall approach to solving problems, to my time at Florida Tech. Campus life, the can-do culture, and the small class sizes made a huge difference in my experience (info systems).

I did my MBA at FIT and graduated in 2013. I finished my degree with as much business knowledge as people who went to an Ivy League. There was business application and Q&A via discussion boards that helped me understand the material better. Some people just remain silent in large lecture halls; however, this online forum gave me the freedom to express and articulate my thoughts - with feedback. I went to University California Davis for my undergraduate and I found Florida Tech more intellectually stimulating than my UC experience. Granted, my social life and/or life experiences made an indelible mark on my youth and maturity, but from an educational standpoint FIT is a fantastic school.

FIT is such an amazing place. Smaller school with large school spirit and getting better all the time. I have witnessed so much positive change there and more is always coming. It is a place where any student can really make a difference and there are so many avenues to explore available. I feel I was lucky to find this gem, given I had plenty of options closer to home in the northeast.

The graduate school classes I've taken have been superb. The professors are so knowledgeable with questions about "how does it work in the work place" and guiding us to make decisions with our future, it's simply amazing. I'm not a traditional student and have had to take time off due to military service, but every time I sign up for another class, I just pick up where I left off. PLUS my "campus" staff emails me considerations for future classes based on schedule and my degree plan. That's very personal service that doesn't go unnoticed. Thank you!

The school is ok... However, I don't like how they interact with the students, especially if they have a complaint about a professor! They pretty much sweep it under the rug and assume the professor is correct. In my essentials of business class we started out with about 30+ people, this professor has caused the roster to go down to only 19 people. She doesn't do a good job of answering questions and when we ask for help she only posts a website for us to look at instead of answering the question directly. If you aren't good at working independently this school will set you up for failure!!! The tuition we pay is wayyy to high to have our concerns ignored.

I loved my time at Florida Tech. The class sizes are great and I left very well prepared to be successful in my field. There are plenty lessons and skills that I learned developed during my time there I still use today. The clubs/organizations were an important part of my time and there is definitely plenty of opportunity to develop and refine leadership skills or just have fun! The best part is really the community. The schools size really lends itself to being more like a large family than being a anonymous grouping of students. My friends from my time there are still some of my best friends today.

The business college has some of the most unprofessional professors and a staff that leaves a bad taste in your mouth. My wife has had wonderful grades and a stellar performance. She graduated in December after struggling to pass a class because of a professor who wouldn’t answer calls or review a project of hers. I had to take days off of work to help her finish the project after he gave her under a week to get 230 surveys completed and the data compiled for them. After hearing the way he spoke to her over the phone and all the hassle he put her through, FIT does nothing about him. The business college in particular has been a bad experience and I would not recommend it.

I just finished with my degree in healthcare management and highly suggest Florida Tech. I attended classes on online but all of my professors were absolutely great. I plan on coming back to continue my education. Thanks for a great few years, Florida Tech!

Absolutely ridiculous customer service! Tried to withdrawal from classes before they even started due to a family emergency and was told to "give it a try". First day of classes, I had another family situation come up and decided to withdrawal for good. Suddenly the nice, friendly people that were so helpful in the beginning became very short tempered with me. I sent my books back within the next 2 weeks. Finally received a call this morning that my books were returned "damaged". Literally those books sat unopened in the box until day before class then went right back in the box after choosing to withdrawal. There is absolutely no way that they were returned damaged. Now customer service is telling me that it's my fault and they are refusing to do anything about it. When I said "I'm not paying for them", I was told "that's alright, collections will give you a call". Ridiculous. Would not recommend this company to a single person.
