Review & Rating
Excellent service and quality repairs for Porsche and Mercedes. Len has been very accomodating, coordinating multiple repairs on both vehicles with unique scheduling on my end. Thank you Webster for all the help. All of the staff are super polite and have been great at getting my vehicles back on the road. Vroom! If you love your fine automobile, take it to German Auto Center for the care it deserves.
Good first experience. They were able to correctly diagnose the issue and repair as needed without just throwing expensive parts at the problem. They took their time to properly evaluate the situation and repaired it successfully. The problem has not returned. They have a good relationship with local Porsche Dealer so that helps along the way with troubleshooting without the Dealer cost. Pricing was fair. Below Dealer, but above your average shop rates. But then again you are paying for the German expertise. Webster was very friendly, informative and clear throughout the process. Explained time and labor estimates accurately up front which is always appreciated. No surprises at the end. I felt comfortable that they were being honest with me. I would go back and recommend them regardless of your expert level.
Had a great experience here despite a long (3+ hours) wait and an expensive fix. The staff was friendly and made an effort to explain issues clearly without being condescending. It seems like they really care about doing their job here. I would have put five stars, but I really did wait a long time and wish I had been informed better about how long things would take. But other than that, this place is solid and I would highly recommend it for those who want a place that specializes in your type of car while avoiding the rip-offs that are dealerships!
Len, the owner of German Auto Center on 8215 Research Boulevard, Austin, Texas 78758, and his crew are very intelligent, skilled, and courteous to their customers. The job was completed actually earlier than I thought within 3½ hours time after drop off. The work was Driver's front left axel replacement. The total charge was right on target from their estimate. Len even offered to show me the old axel, I was curious so I took him up on his offer and reviewed it. Believe me, it was well past time to have it replaced. I am happy with my experiences with German Auto Center on Research Blvd. This was my 3rd visit for maintenance/repair work on my Mercedes Benz E350 4Matic vehicle, Sabrina.
Awesome service. Great mechanics.
Super knowledgeable and competent, the exact opposite of the Mercedes dealerships in Austin and GTown who always default to replacing system in its entirety. Also, and probably as a result, this place is not exactly as affordable as one might expect from an independent garage. But I have no complaints about the results.
Super happy! I took my Audi A5 to get serviced and it drives like a dream again. They had it ready in one day and the prices are so much better than at the Audi dealership. Thanks guys!
Great experience with German Auto Center. Work was done quickly and well. Estimate before hand was what they charged. Very nice people to work with. Will definitely use their services again when needed.
I had multiple maintenance and repair items to handle along with scheduled service on my diesel 2010 Mercedes ML 350. German Auto Center took good care of the car and me. I am more than happy with how the car runs, and the team's commitment to quality and customer satisfaction. I think this is my new go-to place for Mercedes service and repair.
Thanks so much to the team at German Auto Center for the work on my 2013 Passat. The estimate was on target and the drive to and from my office was much appreciated. I feel much more confident working with a team that is familiar with my car.
