After completing my first term at JMLS, I realize I cannot say enough positives about the Law School. The Professors are engaging, youthful (in spirit, age or both), and determined to ensure you embrace, not just attend, your law school experience. The atmosphere is convivial and non-competitive- students are always willing to assist one another. I find such desire to aid in success to be a rare attribute of a professional institution. The Administration is at arm's length from you. I often drop by the offices of Deans, Admissions Officers, Financial Aid Counselors just for a chat or a laugh. I believe they truly bridge the gap that has been traditionally existed between staff and students while in matriculation at Law School. There is little to explain about the locale- The school is located several hundred yards from the City and Federal Courthouses smack dab in the heart of Chicago's Loop. A ten minute walk from the building leads to the front steps of the Art Institute, Grant Park and Michigan Avenue. 5 separate train lines converge a few steps south of the campus while the Metra arrives a mere .4 miles from the entrance. Finally, the view.... while sitting in the library, many of the class and study rooms, immersed in books, you break concentration for a second to glance out a window and are shocked at the sheer beauty of the City of Chicago sprawled out before you. I could have attended several other law schools, but something resonates with me at Marshall- It just feels like home. However, that may be due to the half-a-week i spend inside it's doors.

John Marshall Law School is a really great school. I attended the night program after work, and it was just great !
