Company Description

In 1950, three brothers of Greek descent, Pete, Nick and Jimmy Gallios, pooled all of their resources and purchased the flailing Miller's Pub from the Miller brothers, who had established the bar in 1935. After the purchase, the Gallios brothers did not have the $500 it would have cost to change the sign on the pub, so the name Miller's remained. In 1953, after finishing his military service, younger brother Vannie worked his way into a stake in the pub. The Gallios Brothers started out with one humble goal- support their growing families.

This pub has been in Chicago since 1935. It's your typical pub with craft beers and a very nice American fare menu. I wanted a good Chicago steak and they accommodated. It was done to my liking. My filet came with sauteed mushrooms. I was disappointed with the mushrooms, I was expecting fresh sauteed not canned. I had a salad with my steak. My drink however was a little weak for $10.00. If they ask you if you want to make it a double for a few dollars more take it as a hint and order the double. Lots of ice not so much liquor for the price. It's also a very very loud place. Overall I enjoyed the meal.

Greek Chicken! Shrimp is amazing - service staff is great. House special drinks all go down easy. A favorite spot for us to visit.

Great service, very nice staff. I went for the BBQ baby ribs and was happy after my last rib experience back in George Town Washington 2006. Of course I ordered a Caesar salad which was nice, too. Besides I had two craft beers in sub pint glasses, a painful experience for a German as little beers are made by the devil. The variety of beers is nice there. Had a great time and wanted to thank the staff and everybody else.

Outstanding Lunch. 26 Perfectly cooked Steaks is NO easy feat...My compliments to the chef!! Steaks are tender, great flavor, slathered in mozzarella. They come on a perfect roll/bun , add to that arugula and a large slice or two of red ripe tomato and there is NOTHING that beats this sandwich,.... adding a touch of their horsey sauce is taking you home to perfection. WELL Done and might I say....Just what was promised by the owner!!

Very clean and convenient spot. They serve big meals and for reasonable prices. We enjoyed the food very much and the staff were very amiable and explanatory. Will definitely recommend this restaurant.

Really good food! I am very lucky about steak and it was delicious. Perfectly cooked and the optional blue cheese crust was so tasty. If you like blue cheese, don't miss their salad dressing. The best I have ever had! Great service the first night (Colin was exceptional) and good service the second.

The food is fantastic. The wait staff is great. It has an old but friendly feel. The menu is vast. We're from out of town, but if we lived there, we would frequent the place.

I have been working downtown Chicago for 5 years and had no idea this jewel existed. The place was charming and absolutely packed on Friday night. The drink selection was good and their signature drink, the"Tom and Jerry", was a favorite of my Wife. The food was superb! They tout world famous ribs, steaks and seafood, but I was looking for something lighter for the late dinner we went there for. (Though I saw ribs at an adjacent table later and they both looked and smelled amazing). I ordered the Corned Beef Ruben and was not disappointed. The sandwich was huge with tender and tasty meat and a perfect balance of cheese, sauerkraut and sauce. The staff was very friendly and service was appropriately paced. I highly recommend trying this place out if in the area.

Great atmosphere. Great selection of craft beers. We got there early - 4pm - and got a table. By the time we left - 5.15 - there were lengthy queues. Even so at 4pm the place was crowded. And very noisy. Despite this the service was brisk and cheerful. Unfortunately the food didn't match up. Some great tastes but also some poor bits. Good pub food just don't expect too much. Overall though an experience that is not to be missed.
