THIS IS A WARNING. I feel responsible to report a serious error in reading and writing the report about my left leg xray by this facility but the major concern is the cavalier manner in which both the radiologist who read, wrote and signed the xray report and the business manager of the facility both reacted when I reported the error to them. In essence, the radiologist, who is one of the owners of this business. wrote a report that there was basically no injury showing on my xray. Having heard that xrays don't always show fractures and still having agonizing pain when i walked, I got authorization for an MRI, which is not an easy thing to get. I had the MRI 8 days after the xray.and the report, done by a different radioiologist in the same facility, showed a definite "recent depressed fracture lateral tibial plateau measuring measuring up to 3/.5 mm" which indeed correlated with my pain. I had to go to an orthopedic surgeon which I vigorously pursued two days later..He looked at a copy of the xray I had brought with me along with a copy of the MRI and commented that the xray clearly shows the fracture and showed it to me and I could view it clearly. The next day I called the facility to complain about the error in the xray report. The radiologist who wrote and signed the report told me that no fracture showed on the xray and in fact he was viewing the xray as we spoke and it still didnt show any fracture. I told him I saw it; He asked "are you a doctor or xray technician?" and I said my renowned orthopedic surgeon had seen it and showed it to me. He then said "what do you want me to do, I listened to you, goodbye.". I called the business manager, who told me he is also the director of operations, and asked him to view the xray and speak to the radiologist. He said he would not, and apologized and said goodye and hung up. A few hours later, I received a call from the radiologist saying he had 2 apologies, one] for the way he spoke to me and two] for "misreading the xray". I said "so now you see the fracture" and he replied "yes, but lightly".. I said it was clearly visible. He then said "but you asked to xray your foot" and I said that I had complained about my entire leg. In fact, the xray report he wrote and signed confirms that my "left leg from hip to ankle" was xrayed and the heading of the xray report states in bold type" LEFT FEMUR,KNEE,TIBIA, FIBULA AND ANKLE". MY FRACTURE IS LOCATED ON THE LATERAL TIBIAL PLATEAU." i am not a social advocate but in this case I think it is my responibility to warn all who consider using this imaging facility. Mistakes are made but twice? once when writing the report and the second on the phone when I complained. This facility does imaging of all kinds, including mammography. It is potentially very damaging to make this kind of clear error and then to communicate such a cavalier attitude about it. I urge anyone who contemplates having imagery at this business to consider the risk and to know that there are other choices nearby. .My experience convinces me to do so. My treatment was delayed over a week as a result of this error and, had I not insisted on an MRI.,immedately, it could have gone undetected or certainly delayed even longer.

Was there today with my 90 year old mom for a Cscan.. Out appt was 12:15 and they didn't take her until 2. I find this totally unacceptable. What is the point of making appts if management has no idea what the word "appointment" means. Then, to make matters worse, when my mother had the "contrast" part of the test the technician had no idea whatsoever that the IV line had a leak and the dye leaked all over my mother's head. No apologies, no help... nothing I would NEVER go back her. My mother seems to consider this place the "tops". Told her if she ever had to go back here she would have to find a new daugther :)

2 hours waiting is just unacceptable. Finally they figured out that the appointment was made 1 later that we agree on the phone, but even then. Two (!) hours wait in the waiting area. The stuff is very friendly indeed, the US is made professionally and the results readings are well, but if I could suggest the administration be more professional and do not mess up with the appt time, that might help.

Very pleasant experience. Starting with the registration desk and ending with the procedure which was done professionally and with needed attention from the technician and the doctor. I was doing 2 CT scans and both were done in timely manner. Will 100% recommend this facility.

First point of contact is reception. Rude and sarcastic describes Jennifer at the front desk. I called my referring physician to recommend an alternative to this imaging provider.

I have been going to NYMI for almost 10 years for all of my imaging needs. They are extremely helpful, accommodating and compassionate. I could not recommend them more.

I came here last month for an ultrasound. The wait time was to be expected - really not too long. The procedure was performed quickly and professionally. The technician was wonderful. I was surprised and so happy to fine that a doctor came in to do a quick exam and review the ultrasound results right then and there. I did not have to wait and worry about results. My experience in the past with another, larger imaging center went poorly when the billing happened. I have not received my bill, yet, but hope that the smaller center and more personable billing department (who I met on my way out) will do a better job. I will post a follow up if anything goes wrong. Overall, very happy to have found this place. I will trust them with imaging in the future.
