The University of Missouri opened a medical school in Kansas City in 1971 to meet the health care needs of Missouri and the nation. Using an alternative approach to medical education from that of the traditional four-year school, the UMKC School of Medicine accepts students directly out of high school for the combined baccalaureate/ Doctor of Medicine program, which allows students to graduate in six years with their medical degree.

I don't think much about the school of medicine at all! I was really excited about getting into the Masters in Bioinformatics. Broke my back. Will they refund any money. Nope. You have to die to get a retro active withdrawel. I would really like to hear from anyone that has had this happen to them. Or better yet, if you were approved for a retro active withdrawel, I would REALLY like to hear from you!!!!

The Emergency Medicine course's are awesome. Instructors are great help and will get you through.

Choosing UMKC School of Medicine for my medical education was the best decision I have ever made.

UMKC is a great institution of higher learning. It showed its excellence by provide a detailed description of how they could enhance my daughter's dreams and goals. She is inspired to try and become part of this great place. My wife and I feel like this is what she has always talked about and she can't stop talking about it. The mission is to make it there. This institution is making strides that point in the development of future medical professionals that make me proud enough that my daughter will be a part of this. The hospitals, the simulations, and the instructors seems so far ahead of their time. If your child wants to attend medical school, UMKC should be at the top of your list. Thanks.
