Dr. Alvin Huang is a native of Chattanooga, Tennessee. He graduated from Rice University in Houston, TX with a degree in Chemistry. This was followed by medical school and internship/residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis, TN. He completed his training in 2004 with a fellowship in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, TX.

He explains things well, seems to care, and is easy to schedule appointments with.
Office staff is terrible. Calls are handled unprofessionally. Had an appointment and when the doctor changed his schedule I was told the next available time was three months away. The phone lady said I could talk to a nurse then hung up on me a refused to take my calls.
We were beyond blessed to have found Dr Huang for my daughter. It has been nothing but positive experiences with him. He's kind, truly cares about his patients and spends time explaining things in a way you can understand. He's also one of the most brilliant doctors I've known. Cannot recommend him enough.
