Dr. Horvit likes to make her own assumptions about her patients before visiting with them. If her medical plan doesn't work then she assumes that the patient is not following her plan. She did not listen when I tried to explain to her what was going on. Frankly, she did not want to have any part of what I was trying to explain to her, and became very aggiatated to the point to being of be irrational. I was in shock, and all I wanted to do was leave her office. I am looking for a new doctor.

The staff isn't just rude, they are outright indignant with patients. When they make a mistake on the co-pay they come at you like a bill collector. I'm not use to being treated that way over $20 by anyone, let alone a doctor office. Staff there really need to treat patients as patients, not cattle. Over testing also seems to be a concern. Sending patients in for unnecessary scans and testing seems to be an effective way of increasing their part-time only income.

Dr Horvit ordered a bone density for me. The next morning after I had it done Latoya called to say Dr Horvit didn't order it and it was too soon to have it done so I will have to pay. I told her I had the paper work that said to do it and she said they threw away their copy and Dr Horvit says she didn't order it. I ask why throw away your copy and she said they always do when they get the results ( which was the day she called) . They are dishonest at this office. Dr Horvit is cold and uncaring. They said they did an investigation and even though it was marked on her orders they are accusing me of ordering it myself! I will never go back and warn everyone to stay away! Now they say I am responsible for payment not my insurance.

I believe that Dr. Padma Horvit is the most thorough, understanding, considerate, and patient-friendly specialist I have ever seen, and I have seen a great many of them over the years. She listens to all the patient's comments respectfully, allows the patient to ask questions at any time, and responds fully and clearly. She appears to be very knowledgeable with regard to her field, endocrinology, and with regard to medicine generally, and provides advice without being condescending or patronizing. I would recommend her as strongly as any doctor I have ever had.

Dr. Padma Horvit has been treating me for diabetes since 2011. She has helped and guided me in controlling my diabetes through medication, diet, exercise and changes in lifestyle. I find Dr. Horvit to be a superb physician - knowledgeable, caring and will spend all necessary time with me to explain my test results (Compared to the last results) answer my questions fully, review medications and any other applicable needs. I would recommend Dr. Horvit to anyone needing an Endoctinologist. She is simply the best.

I wasn't pleased with Dr. Horvit. My first visit was a typical experience, I was sent for labs, etc. After the initial appointment I received my 1st bill and realized I couldn't afford to continue seeing her. During my 2nd visit (in order to save money) I inquired on whether my primary care physician could run the same labs as she did. I must have offended her because she said "FRANKLY, your primary care physician didn't uncover your condition...I did and FRANKLY you should continue to see me. After that she told me she wouldn't schedule another appointment with me and abruptly ended the appointment. While I am grateful she uncovered my condition I received a second bill charging me for a 25 minute appointment when I was only there 10 minutes. The front desk hounds you and hounds you until you make your initial referral appointment and act like it's the end of the world if you have ANY sort of balance on your account. The office also doesn't have any modern hospital equipment inside. I'll stick with my regular doctor and will not refer her.

I have been seeing Dr. Horvit for over 9 years now. She is very professional, very prompt (never have I had to wait for my scheduled appointment time!), and I find her to be thorough, willing to answer any question I might have, and am thrilled that I selected her from the beginning. I have nothing negative to say at all. My experience has been extremely positive all along the way. No plans to ever change doctors.

Dr Horvit has done an excellent job treating my thyroid disorder. She LISTENS to how I'm feeling instead of making assumptions based only on lab work. I've been to several doctors before her and don't plan on going anywhere else. I would highly recommend her. Side note: I noticed some reviews about the lack of "modern technology" in the office... the office itself isn't necessarily what you'd expect and they do track everything the old school way, but don't let that throw you. Dr Horvit is extremely up to date and knowledgeable about current practices and treatment options. Personally, I'm going to her because she's great at what she does and I couldn't care less if I can't send her an email or book an appointment online. I've been to the doctors with all the bells and whistles and none were as willing to listen and truly help get to the root of my issues as Dr. Horvit.

Very old and outdated office. My first visit with her, Dr. Horvit insisted I keep a pen and paper log of my blood sugars. When I told her I have both an insulin pump AND a smart meter that tracks this for me, and I'd be happy to upload the reports and email them to her, she stated the office does not have a computer, and she wouldn't trust the reports anyway. What? What kind of Doctor says that? She clearly isn't up to date with the latest technology in Diabetes. I will definitely be going elsewhere.

Dr. Horvit is intelligent and an expert with the endocrine system. She listened to my concerns, and helped diagnose and treat an issue that my previous primary care Dr. missed. Her office staff is very friendly too. Thanks for your expert guidance in helping get my body back to normal.

GREAT doctor! She has been very good about getting my health on track! The office is a bit behind in times (paper folder system) nothing you can view or do online; appointments, payments, charts etc.
