Located about five miles south of Portland on the southern Maine coast, Cape Elizabeth was named in 1604 by Captain John Smith to honor Princess Elizabeth, daughter of King James I and Queen Anne of Denmark. Its craggy shores and unspoiled sandy beaches extend twelve miles into open ocean forming the entrance to spectacular Casco Bay.

Went here for a work event and the room was clean cozy and a great view! Others ate lunch and enjoyed it. clean facility and nice bathrooms and coat are. Recommend their rooms for any small to midsized work events.

Loved the view, staff was friendly, and wake to the water was short. They had music and s’mores by the fire in the evening.
Inn by the Sea is a beautiful getaway spot with a gorgeous view of the ocean. Their rooms are large, up to date and beautifully decorated. They invite well behaved pets allowing them in the bar area. Their restaurant is excellent and never disappoints.
Great vibe overall at this resort. Extremely helpful and attentive employees, very nice views of the ocean, and very clean and comfortable rooms with sort of upscale coziness in mind. Very close to Portland as well. Highly recommended for a long weekend away from NYC.

Beautiful location. Great walking beach truly a relaxing gateway. Love the gardens on the property. The room we had which was at garden level gave us easy access to and from the beach and the restaurant without having to go into the inn ……

Even though it's a large Inn, it is still very cozy. Rooms are charming and large. The view is pretty. Nice patio and sitting areas. And a very cool boardwalk and trail to the beach. Food in the restaurant is amazing.
