Less than a week ago I left a 5 star review detailing my 3 month experience with the Colorado Springs Bicycle Village despite dealing with more than a fair share of issues originating from a new bike which turned out to be a lemon which was no fault of the shop, but most of the issues originated from the staff resulting in completely avoidable ridiculous mistakes. Despite them handling those issues in a very efficient and professional manner, there has been more issues that have since surfaced that completely and forever changed my opinion and normally optimistic outlook towards this shop. - When we went to purchase the bikes we applied for the Trek Card for financing and they never bothered asking what we were buying and just assumed and applied for a $2,000 limit. Since we were buying almost $6,000 worth of bikes they had to call up and I had to explain the situation and apply for the correct amount. - The manager came over to straighten things out and then came back without asking what terms I wanted and just assumed the term which was wrong so then that had to be redone. - We were set to pick our bikes up the following day so they had time to go through them and get them ready. My bike had an extremely squeaky back brake with barely any braking power and I was told it will get better after some riding, it didn't.. - Brought it back the next week for the back brake that didn't get better and a different tech looked at it and said the pads were soaked with oil and it should have never left like that. He replaced the pads and wiped down the rotor. - Had that bike back another time and got it home and set it on the ground and the handlebars got really loose as soon as I set it down after just leaving the shop. Bring it back to find out the stem was tightened incorrectly. - After that bike was determined to be a lemon we ended up trading both bikes in for Raleigh Redux ie E-bikes and they needed the rest of the day to do their out the door (OTD) inspection and get everything ready. Over the course of a few days after getting them home and only putting 16 miles on them I had to re wire both headlights on each of them because one didn't work which I quickly found out why after taking the tape off to find out one of the connectors wasn't pushed in, the same connector they shrink wrapped and taped up. The other one was barely pushed in and didn't have shrink wrap on it and the metal connectors were almost touching metal to metal and they taped them together like that. The final straw was when I found out that my front tire had 12psi and my rear tire had only 14psi when the rating was 30-50psi. I pumped them up and then go to roll my bike and it didn't roll because they installed the front fender based off a flat tire so when I put 38psi in them the front tire inflated in to the front fender. So I had to loosen the fender and move it way up to clear the properly inflated tire. If the fender issue wasn't proof enough they never cared to inflate the tires I'll also add that after inflating the tires they have retained perfect pressure so it was clearly never done. Why do they need to keep the bikes so long for inspection when they don't do it even close to right?! This is the kind of thing I would expect when buying a $100 bike from Wal-Mart, not over $6,000 at a "professional" bike shop! Unless I absolutely need them to facilitate a pricey warranty exchange I will NEVER go back there and I will make sure that other people are warned when considering purchasing a bike or going for even the smallest type of service. It's sad when I have to load the bike up, haul it there for service, wait, pick it up and then have to go through the entire bike myself anyway to have them fix all the mistakes I find. I might as well do everything myself to begin with and save a lot of time, gas and headaches. If I could give a lower star rating I would.

Didn't like that I told the sales rep I wanted a road bike for 2 to 3 hundred dollars and got told "good luck"... just say you don't have anything in that price range!

I will never shop here again. The customer service is horrible. I have been in 5 separate times and EVERY single time I’ve had to break up the employees talking to each other to ask questions. They treat you like an idiot if you have questions about the bikes or helmets. I cannot believe how belittling they treat their customers. I cannot stress enough how horrible the customer service is there and will make sure to let everyone I know to NEVER shop there.

Absolutely stellar service and prices. They worked with me for a good solid hour over two trips taking me around to different bike options, explaining the pros and cons of each, and talking with me about my previous experience as well as what type of riding I wanted to do in the future. I had my heart set on a Roscoe 6 but ended up with a Roscoe 7 solely because he took the time to break down the differences and how the 7 would fit more with what I wanted to do as well as a price break down of what it would cost to upgrade the 6 to a 7 spec using examples in store. After my purchase the service department was very patient with me about my every question regarding the bike and even converted it to tubeless last minute when I changed my mind (with a smile mind you). I then went back to look at racks after my first positive experience and again they took their time to explain the pros and cons and each set up to help me decide. I do tons of research before hand but it's always reassuring to hear it straight from the people that deal with this daily. Free tune ups for life was a big bonus but I ended up buying here because they truly were friendly, caring and helpful. They really made an already exciting purchase that much more enjoyable.

I'm going to have to agree with Ashton Garcia. I needed help finding a few things and employees were too busy conversing amongst themselves at another counter. Several minutes later standing at the checkout counter, someone finally graced me with their presence.

At the tent sale in Aurora, Wen helped me look for a road bike. When we asked if Bicycle Village had a certain bike that wasn't on display, he always looked for it, and he found as many bikes as possible for us to try. He was also very knowledgeable about each bike and its price.

friendly, welcoming staff. Went in for a set of wider tires for my road bike and they were able to fit and install the right size for me, before i bought them

Mikey and Don took a very detailed look at what was going on with my shifter and didn't even charge me for at least 20min of work. Appreciate this shop so much, been a joy the past several times I've needed work done

Hi everyone, just wanted to share with you what a great experience I had Bicycle Village. What a great team! I was greeted as soon as they saw me enter the store. Then asked what they could do for me. (Broken bicycle chain). They took it right away. And while I waiting for the repairs, I went looking around. I was then asked by different team members: Have you been helped? Do you have any questions? Are you doing okay? And all in a good way. 😊 Their smiles were sincere and their friendliness was genuine. I felt really comfortable there, and I could feel right away that they appreciated me, because I chose to bring my business to them. I'm glad I took a chance with Bicycle Village. Not only did they score a customer for life with their great customer service and friendliness. My bike came out super smooth too. Peace.
