Amazing and knowledgeable team. Glad I went in and bought at store and not online. Thought I needed a certain camera and was shown the Olympus cameras that have amazing features and will be perfect for my hiking trips and every day needs. THANK YOU Biggs for having great employees. 2nd visit talked with a gentleman there that is very knowledgeable on Olympus cameras and I learned so much that the instructions would never tell you. The store has sufficient stock, but be prepared to be ripped off. I bought a camera battery they recommended. Then looked it up on the river and found they charged me $50 + tax for something that costs $20 + tax ... and a reviewer says his died immediately after the warranty ran out. I know about the battery scams and went to Biggs expecting they would too, and would therefore sell something that works. They feigned ignorance and just kept saying "warranty", "warranty". Time will tell on that point. They processed and scanned some 35mm Kodacolor - only 1535 px / 35mm, worse than what my broken Nikon scanner used to do and only 30% of what modern negative scanners provide: very grainy - very poor.
I have been a regular renter for about a year. I just stopped to pick up a lens for two weddings this weekend, and was unable to get the lenses I needed because they changed the policy from debit card to credit card. I understand policy changes happen, but because the debit card was acceptable for a year, I had no way of planning for this to happen & it will affect the reliability of my business. The least they could have done is pardoned me the first time as a dependable customer in the past and then for next time I would know to bring a credit card. This is absolutely absurd.

I've been shopping here for over 30 years staff is always been great some of the people that I've worked with their four camera equipment have been there as long as I've been shopping there. The staff is great they give you good suggestions all around one of the best camera stores in Charlotte or anywhere else.
Charlotte's last brick and mortar camera shop with TRAINED, KNOWLEDGEABLE staff who are passionate about this profession. Used and new equipment, I've purchased both over the years and 100% pleased. I recommend buying from these guys over Amazon or any other online merchant. Prices are competitive AND you can talk to an expert, face-to-face. Several times I've gone in to buy something specific and left with a cheaper alternative that suited the job even better. These guys are straight shooters (pun?). I highly recommend.
So great to be in a place where everyone knows there stuff, has good advice, and look to educate their customers rather than just push an opinion. Definitely will return!
Awesome first visit and they had the lenses I wanted that were used. As the first lenses I have bought in almost 4 years, I was gladly surprised. Great selection of everything. Will be back to get a bag and more lenses one day. Way easier to buy local instead of online or in big box stores.
