In 1909, Frank M. Covert, Sr., a real estate and insurance businessman opened the first automobile dealership in Central Texas. Three years later, his son, Clarence Covert, Sr., joined him to form the Austin Buick Sales Company, which became the foundation for Covert Buick, Inc., the oldest Buick dealership in Texas today.

I have a 2014 Acadia and was thinking of bringing it in to get serviced and called to see if I could get my truck detailed while it was there and they said they don't offer that service unless I buy it there. Guess I'll have to go to Nyle Maxwell, cause they offer that service for $130.
Had a very good experience here! Went on black friday and was immediately taken care of by Kurt Waters. I told him exactly what I wanted and he made it happen. Everything went quick and smoothly and everyone was great and took care of whatever I needed. Thanks again Kurt!

We brought our car here a few times for oil changes and the service was always fine, until Friday. I noticed the oil change was $150, instead of the usual $100. Upon closer inspection, the price per quart of oil was nearly double ($15), instead of the usual $8 per quart. There were other increases as well. At no point did the service adviser (Eric) tell us about the price increase in advance. I did decline his tire offer, so I guess Eric and his service manager decided to inflate prices. The funny thing is...I called parts to verify the price of oil and it is the usual $8 per quart just like other dealers. When I told Eric this he fumbled for words. If you had gave advance notice the oil change was going to cost $150, we would have declined. We test drove a car while we waited, but we won't be back for anything.

Story Time: I began my car search where I live, in Dallas. Because I wasn’t sure exactly what I wanted, I started broadly and interacted with several dealerships over a few weeks in my area. When I decided I wanted to check out a Buick Encore, the selection here wasn’t that great and neither were my interactions with sales people. I found the Encore that checked all my very specific needs, but it was in Austin. I made a call and luckily got on the phone with Kurt. He answered all my questions and I was so impressed I decided to make the trek to Austin rather than coordinating something for that car at a local dealership. Kurt is very personable, knowledgeable, and is just a really good person overall. I made my decision very quickly to purchase the Encore, we negotiated a bit on the price and trade in- but it was direct and efficient, definitely didn’t feel like I had to do the typical dance you do when buying a car with all the haggling and pressure. I left the dealership in record time with a beautiful new Encore. And exactly one week later, when my new car got smashed on the highway by some Mercedes, Kurt quickly offered his sympathies and sent me well wishes. My car is still in the shop having its fate determined, but if I need a replacement car then at least I know who I’ll be going to see. Also, Rob Priday in finance is a good guy as well. So if you need to finance, go see him after you buy from Kurt.
Updating to 2 stars for managers service skills. Just bought a beautiful truck from Travis. I’ve bought a lot of cars in the past and Travis cut right through all the BS and was upfront with me on the price. Made it real simple and was extremely efficient when it came to time. Anyone needing a vehicle, I would definitely recommend Travis as he is extremely knowledgeable and is honest with you on what he can and can’t do for you. Will fight for you and will sell you a car at the best price he can.
My experience at Covert was great with Steve Sarich. A friend of mine had recommended him, and I'm grateful for his help. Buying a car is never easy, but Steve was patient, and super conscious of what I waned in a vehicle. Even after my purchase, he has been knowledgeable with any questions and concerns that I have.

Took a while, but I finally got out of my lease and into the car I wanted. My salesperson was pretty patient. The car buying process leaves a lot to be desired, but in the end, I am satisfied. Thanks Dennis!
