I started Intown Bicycles March 15, 1982, in a half burned down carriage house, in the back yard of a triplex, on North Highland Ave. But I've actually been in bike shops since the seventies. Here's the story...
Review & Rating
I ended up going to Intown Bicycles just because it was closest. I had intended on checking out a couple of other bike shops but honestly from the moment I got there I was impressed with everything about the place. Mike was a person I met with at the beginning. He spent about an hour with me going over different bikes and sharing all of his experience and advice to help me pick out the right bike. What I enjoyed is that I could tell he was interested more so in me getting me on the right bike versus trying to upsell to the most expensive bikes. I went back a couple times just to make sure that I was sure of which bike I wanted to get and each person I walked to was very helpful. Even after the purchase when they assembled the bike and got it all ready to go, the service guy (Craig) spent another 30 minutes with me making sure I was comfortable with everything before I left. Excellent customer service all the way around. And as far as pricing, I looked all over online to compare prices online at other locations with Intown prices. Intown was right in line with everyone else in the pricing. Even a few dollars less than many places. And what's great is the free tune up for 6 months. I can only speak about my experience at this particular shop but I would highly recommend anyone looking ITP to drop in.
Excellent service! Great shopping experience with knowledgeable people.
I won't go anywhere else in Atlanta for my bicycle. Fast service, professional staff, and fair prices. I'd recommend this shop to anyone!
Good, friendly, no hassle service at a good price. I'll be returning the next time I need repairs.
Great low pressure sales experience. Knowledgeable and friendly staff.
What an amazing little gem of a shop to find! Friendly staff that are very knowledgeable. Works hard to make sure you select the correct bike and near a great neighborhood to test drive! Easy Beltline Trail literally 2 minutes away as well as Piedmont Park. Mike and Daniel were extremely caring and helped install a kickstand and bicycle lock. Well worth the 40 minute drive to such astonishing people. Near everything cool that is Atlanta as well!!! 😋
The workers I dealt with were very helpful and informative. They worked with my wife in finding a bike despite us not buying one on that visit. The location next to the beltline is great as well.
These guys are the best. Mike and Daniel are so kind and helpful. Patient and comfortable explaining bikes to newbies or super experienced riders.
Great service! Awesome personnel. 👍
Intown Bicycles caters to commuters, enthusiasts, and athletes alike with fabulous service and remarkably friendly/knowledgeable staff. This shop is clean, organized, and provides a little bit of everything. Rita and the rest of the staff (whose names I don't yet know) are kind and work quickly. I've come in on two separate occasions—after purchasing a bike from here—and both times my bike has been serviced from start to finish in under 15 minutes. Although I'm not thrilled that I've had to go in twice to get my bike tuned up (due to no fault of the shop's, just my poor luck and foresight), it helps that the atmosphere is so pleasant. I anticipate this being the only bike shop that I'll patronize so long as I live in the area.
