Founded in 1960, The Blood Center is the primary supplier of blood, blood components and plasma derivatives to local hospitals throughout South Louisiana and parts of the Mississippi Gulf Coast. We are a non-profit, community service organization guided by a volunteer Board of Trustees, comprised of community leaders and hospital representatives.
Review & Rating
I'd go with 5 stars for the staff, but the website never seems to work correctly. I registered a few years ago, but always had trouble checking my cholesterol, donor history, etc. I keep getting a message to update my Donor ID, but I can't ever get a Donor ID because every unit I've ever entered "doesn't exist." It also keeps advertising a mobile app - which I had at one point, but it's no longer available in the app store.
They called my husband's phone while trying to reach someone else. The company then tried to poach my husband for his personal information. I will be reporting this organization to the FTC, as it is unreasonable to dial a wrong number and then request personal information from a person not even in the same state as you. Completely unprofessional.
