We had a great time at the basic knife skills class last night. Chef Carlton was very personable and knowledgeable. He taught us all the basics, and even explained the best knives to have. There was every level of experience present, and we all had a great time. Definitely recommend.

The UGA's "Starting a Food Business" seminar was held at the Irwin Street Market. A "shared kitchen" is onsite. JAKE'S ICE CREAM is delicious.

The location and space was great! I liked meeting new people as well. It was disappointing to not have enough pasta machines for each couple to make pasta (only 5 stations with 12 people. most were 2 friends or couples and no one wants to split up). I also expected to actually do more from start to finish rather than just hear about it/watch the chef do it. I think it's a fun social experience for someone who doesn't cook much, but if you are looking for a more extensive course on truly how to make a meal, it's not the best class.
