My daughter loves Young Chef's Academy! They hosted her 7th birthday and this is her 2nd year attending the holiday camp. She loves to cook and the recipes are easy to duplicate at home. I highly recommend allowing your child your child to have a YCA experience!

My daughter absolutely loves Young Chef's Academy. They have open enrollment on a first come first served basis. My daughter has attended a number of their Saturday classes. The good - Classes start on time, there is always a new menu and practical for their age ranges, the preparation of the food is overseen by professional cooks and chefs, safety is heavily emphasized, the food is quite tasty and readily shared with parents after class. The not-so-good - It's sometimes difficult to make a reservation for class attendance, participation by students isn't strictly enforced, larger groups preparing meals can sometimes have some of the younger and less vocal participants miss opportunities to participate. Great place for your child to engage with other children their age in a shared interest. Early opportunity to gain a life long skill without the hazard of using your own kitchen (think drivers education).

We took our Girl Scouts Troop to YCA Midtown to earn a cooking badge and everyone had a great time! It was a fun (and yummy) field trip.

YCA pizza + cupcakes theme: Young Chefs Academy (YCA) hosted my son's birthday party. It was a success on everything that they provided. I should have contracted the "goodie bags" from YCA, because honestly it cost more $$ for me to go out and buy stuff. The kids had a wonderful time. We had the pizza party plus cupcakes theme. The kids enjoyed their pizzas. They loved decorating their own cupcakes. They went home with a true practical skill that they could make food, and went away with a feeling of accomplishment. I recommend this type of party for ages 3 to 13. We had a child as young as 3, and as old as 13. Some of our participates had Autism and/or ADHD, and were able to participate without worry. They were not overwhelmed by loud music, flashing lights or sensory issues that are common to birthday parties. YCA was a positive environment. The host and owner was very gracious and kind to each child, meeting each child's individual needs without calling attention to any differences that ranged between one child to other child. (We have lots of happy pictures, but I did not want to post the pictures of the kids.) We also brought our own cake to sing happy birthday. But, you can ask YCA for pricing on a cake. At the time of writing this, YCA prices the pizza party. The cupcakes and/or goodie bags and/or cakes are an add-ons. Their price in comparison to other child driven birthday party themes in the area is reasonable. I would buy again, or take a class here. This is a good place to have a party if you live in a smaller apartment or home and can not have a party at that home.

Chefs Academy Atlanta...on Collier Road was an AMAZING experience for my daughters 13th birthday celebration! Everything was super clean, interesting and FUN! The Host did an amazing job of teaching the girls how to make pasta from scratch! I look forward to booking events in the future!
