Communication from their Service Department is terrible. They do not return phone calls or respond to requests submitted via their website. Also, they charged me for a 60k mile service, but as far as I can tell, they did not complete all of the services listed on both their website and in the Mazda manual for that package.

Awesome experience. Came in last minute to get a car. We didnt know what we wanted. The sales staff helped a lot and we got a CX-5 in the price range we wanted.

This is the only service center I use for my 2014 Mazda. Great crew, great work, and great prices keep me coming back. Very easy to make an appointment online or drive in with a quick call beforehand. Quick and professional customer service from Corey and Courtney show they really care for their customers.

One of the worse customer service experiences I've had purchasing a used car. Bottom line, they listed one price, we negotiated a lower price with the salesperson, then they raised the agreed upon price by $2,500 at closing. When we asked what happened, we were given the run around that the initial listening was a deep discount they would've resulted in a loss for them so now they have to sale for what they invested into the vehicle. Of course this could all be disproven by the CARFAX. On top of that, I was preapproved for a 5.5% APR and they tried to offer me 8% and told me to just refinance later. And at no point did the original salesperson or GM actually try to speak to us directly and provide clarity or at least apologize. Needless to say, we found the same vehicle for $3,000 less at a 5.4% APR in VA and very happy we shopped around. My advice to anyone else planning on buying a used car from Thompson Mazda, please be prepared with your own prefinancing, CARFAX, alternative options if they try to screw you over. Be prepared to get up and walk out if they try to sell you a vehicle above the price they listed or agreed upon.

The whole experience was awesome. We would def go back again and buy another car. Dealership was clean and professional . Great experience. Our salesman took care of us and made sure we understood what we were looking to buy . He was friendly and knowledgeable. The experience was fun and enjoyable.

I highly recommend Thompson Mazda, they are very friendly and honored a deal that was made mainly by email. I drove 2.5 hrs to pick up my car and I would do it again. When I got there they noticed that the car I brought with me was dirty from bad weather I had driven through and they immediately washed it for me. I also didn’t have a lot of time before I had to head back home and they got me in and out. Great group of guys. All my questions were answered and I didn’t feel any pressure. John has been reaching out to me since I bought my car to check in and I know if I have any questions he will be able answer them.

I worked with Aaron and Dave at Thompson, as well as 3 other local Mazda dealerships, regarding price via my preferred means of communication which was email. They were both exceptionally personable and respected my decision for a specific vehicle even though they didn't have it on their lot. Dave came through with the best price of the 4 dealerships I had contacted and really worked hard to earn my business. When I arrived at the dealership for the first time, everything was ready to go, my vehicle of choice was on its way from VA to their lot, and I was in my new Mazda within 90 minutes! I've worked in customer service since 1989 and even I was impressed by Aaron and Dave.

Drove up from Virginia for a specific car. Shawn was friendly, personable, and relatable. He responded quickly with an out-the-door quote that helped me decide to make the trip. The car was cleaned up and ready to go (and covered in pollen the next morning, so that's actually saying something.) He explained each form and document, the features of the car, and walked through the pricing and incentives. I never felt rushed or pressured in the slightest. Jason took over for financing and was also helpful and informative. He offered products that would be beneficial, but didn't push those that were unnecessary. The car was also several thousand cheaper than the same car, slightly used, back home. All in all, the entire experience was stress free and pleasant, and well worth the trip.
