Dissatisfied with how I was fitted for the bike I purchased. The sales person was looking for a quick easy sale.

Quite the arrogant atmosphere, and severely overpriced for small parts (a simple straight gauge silver spoke for $4 and a regular road bike inner tube for $10). Definitely not recommended.

I won't ever buy anything from Village Cycle again. I bought a mountain bike from here in December for $1100. Wasn't able to ride it until summer due to a harsh winter. When I finally took it out and rode it for the first time I found out the rear suspension was not working at all and needed to be replaced. I called Village Cycle to have it fixed and they told me I would have to pay to have the bike shipped out to be fixed. After arguing with the manager they agreed to pay for shipping. Pathetic that they try to cheat and take advantage of a customer like that.

My family sometimes comes here if they buy a bike or bike accessories, its great and all but kind of lacking an atmosphere, that's why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 stars, but if you need a bicycle or bicycle accessories, you may want to try this cozy bicycle shop out; highly recommended!!!!😁😁😁😁

Just moved to Chicago and was looking for a place in my neighborhood to for my commuter bike to get a tune up. Web reviews and neighbors all recommended this place. My bike had been stored outside and exposed to the elements in DC for about six months. They did a great job tuning her up and didn’t try to sell me anything I didn’t need or wasn’t asking for. Whether you’re new to bike life or a triathlete looking for a road bike, this place will have what you need. The staff is knowledgeable and honest. Some bike shops can seem really elite and cans across as arrogant, not here. Highly recommend even if it’s a bit of a trek.

30 years ago I bought a Trek mountain bike from this store and wore that baby to the ground. Today I walked in and it's exactly the same top quality service and large and deep array of inventory I experienced all those years ago. You cannot go wrong buying your first or next bike here. They are the best.

Super helpful staff. Adam was awesome. Selection was good. Prices were good. I trust their info, and they really made me feel more confident in my decision to become a biker in the city.

I appreciate Tim C. and the VC team for their excellent customer service over the years. I’ve bought two bikes (a road and tri bike) from this local bike shop and they’ve been nothing but amazing to assure I have the right bike fit and have all of my questions answered to keep me competitive and knowledgeable. The ownership and team know how to produce value for customers beyond the city limits and I will continue to refer triathletes and road bike enthusiasts to this

... Three years in a row I bought gel seat covers and a couple of U- locks. As far as mechanical works on the bikes I own had own 5 others bike shops to do that, as of today , 6 locations are closed due to high lease or rent .. Recently in three months had brakes adjust on both of my bikes and a few days ago had the shop two new tries & tubes spend nearly $300.00 . Can't wait to see the new look 😯 .. The best things I like about this place & like to give it a 5 stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ the the front automatically doors and the ramp going down the service area, no fighting to keep the door open as you trying to come in with your cycle .. Job Well Done Village Cycle Ceter 🚲🚲🚲🚲🚲🚲

I bought my 6 year old a trek bike for $250 9 months ago. The chain fell off. I put the chain on multiple times myself but it continues to fall off with minimal use. I called Village to see if they could fix under the 1 year service warranty. The said no since it was after February. They act as though they have great service and you pay a premium because of the 1 year check up. It has little value in Chicago because most people do not ride a bike in the winter. When i brought the bike to a local shop down the street they fixed it in less than 5 min and did not even charge me. I will not ever purchase another product from Village. They follow up service program is useless.
